Bad Seed/Born or Made?

Are some people just (born bad) even though they come from good families, good home, education, love, etc. etc. -one eg. You hear about the privileged kids or young adults, want for nothing...siblings are okay, but then one day, they grow up...*SNAP* Egs. The Menendez boys, Richard Ramirez. (sp?) They were all loved deeply, then why?

-are some people just (born) ticking time-bombs?

I think it's a mix...nature and nurture.

Parents are responsible. Luckily my daughters are naturally empathetic, though my Sagi girl is sometimes prone to play jokes on others at the expense of their feelings! So naturally I will occasionally sit her down and ask her how she would feel if someone did that to her.

You can teach empathy, but some kids are more naturally empathetic than others.
