Why are Pisces the Martyrs?
Aren't Pisces born with an innate understanding of humankind?
People are cruel and Pisces knows that very deep down in the soul of everyone there is understanding/love.
Fighting back creates more fighting, hate creates more hate but love of those who hate you confuses people so much that the only option they have is to return that love and find that they feel better in love than hate.
A seed is planted and they learn that helping others is a selfish act that they benefit from but the only difference with this is that everyone benefits from love and kindness.
Eventually they learn that they had never benefited from taking in the first place. But that is far far away for most people...
I think it is good to "turn the other cheek" so to speak.
When people are baffled by something their stupid minds stop talking and their intuitive hearts start listening.
I personally believe that escape is the way to go in life but only in positive forms like spirituality.
I believe the main (or only) goal of every Pisces should be to escape to bliss through their chosen form of spirituality.
Things are screwed up, life is suffering and there is no happiness to be found in following the selfish paths that everyone else follows.
It is god damendd foolish to want want want more more more especially when the thing we want is poison.
It only tastes good when you eat it. Afterwards the effects of the money, drugs, sex and rock n' roll are gone and we NEEED more more more.
Very soon the escape we got from those earthly things disappears/we become immune to its effects but we still NEED it.

It's a fkn rat race yo.

I think Pisces has the greatest potential to escape to a land on this same planet and save all of those who need to be saved.
I also believe that at the opposite end of the rope (The other fish tied) there is potential for great destruction which (from what I have seen) comes mostly from wallowing in self pity.

Nice one Mystic Ram,that's a beautiful painting.

I think its the Pisces' deep understanding, compassion and conviction in Spirituality that cause Pisces to be the likely martyrs.Maybe it's the moment where the symbolic fish break the cord tied at their tales, the Spirit bursting forth rejecting, leaving the fear in the body behind.

I like this! ^^^ I believe the Pisces deep empathetic nature and willingness to put all others in their lives first makes for them to easily become martyrs. That's why you see so many Pisces in the health care fields because they are able to give and give and give and they work such long hours to give back to humanity. We can actually "feel" others sufferings so strongly that we just feel so compelled to help in any way we can and it literally rips us up when we see people in such pain and no one seems to be responding to it so we take it upon ourselves to do it. I know I feel this way. It literally hurts me when I see someone feeling bad and no one is there for them even if they are strangers to me.

That is my new desktop background.

Its something beautiful to look at everyday, so I can see why you would have it as your background. I've been trying to find a copied painting of it to hang up in my house. Here's some historical reference on the painting and its creator if you are interested: Paul Delaroche was a French painter and sculptor. He became famous for his depictions of historical scenes. The first painting that brought him to fame was his rendition of The Death of Queen Elizabeth which was the first of a series of history paintings designed to show parallels between events in English history and contemporary conflicts in France. Most often these particular works showed women and children in gothic distress as can be admired in paintings such as The Princes in the Tower and The Young Martyr.

The Young Martyr was completed in 1855, the year before his death. The paintingis a depiction of the death of a young female Christian Martyr in the 3rd Century A.D during the reign of the Roman Emperor Dioletian. This painting is sometimes referred to as the Christian Ophelia because of its resemblance to Shakespeare's character Ophelia in Hamlet. The similarities lie in the assumption that both characters drowned. One difference is that Ophelia took her own life while The Young Martyr had her life taken from her.

The painting, although undoubtedly beautiful is also disturbing. It is disturbing not only for its subject matter, but because there is something so life-like about the girl despite the obvious fact that she is dead. When looking at the painting, it feels as if she has only just died. The feeling evoked is so strong; one almost feels that if only one could have been present a few seconds previously one might have been able to prevent her death. There is a dark figure in the upper left hand corner that appears to be a man on a horse riding away. Presumably, he is the instrument of The Young Martyr??s untimely demise.

Neptune is the planet of compassion and self sacrifice. We (pisces) have been put here to help, one way or another. Not all of us are in touch with our spirituality or know what theyre here for. Which is ashame. The ones who do (us), feel a strong call all our lives to "save" others, to heal others emotional wounds. Which i try to do and will carry on doing until i die. Even if i get burned bad along the way.

&I adore that painting. I cant stop staring at it. Its sad yet very beautiful. Touching and wonderful.
