i would think if something's too high-pressure, full-frontal or in-your-face, so-to-speak.. Pisces needs time to access, think & plan in their own way & time.. *then come back to the table, if they so choose. Also time or distance from a situation may help give perspective. Could also be a kind of self-preservational instinct. ...boxed in a corner, without any other choices or options. Fight or flight, to-to-speak. Support, patience, options & understanding is what is most needed. Although it's not good to run away from everything, sometimes it may be better to ignore and let the more benign annoyances die their own slow death.. Then sometimes it's just a fishes intuition & gut instinct; which at the same time may also become a saving-grace. It's a double-edged sword.
ScorpLeo, my first guess would be it stems from Pisces' need to not be controlled and Scorpio's need to control. This is a big hurdle for this pairing. If you could be more specific, we could help you out more. What happened before she took off? What is she not facing that you feel should?
I agree with Sea Siren ... however, i am only Pisces Rising ... but, i can relate to that. Also, i don't know if this is the case for Pisces Sun people, but i find (and i am told it is my Pisces Rising), that this sign has difficulties defining exactly what they want in life ... So when they feel pressured to make a decision ... they retreat.
