when it comes to sleep i usually don't require much. if i sleep at 3am and have to wake up at 8:30am, i jolt out of bed and i'm ready to start my day. but this month i've been sleeping early and waking up late and taking extra extra time to get the day started. i was trying to convince myself that it was from the heat or what i was eating or maybe i was just being lazy. but it couldn't be the case, because i've been taking good care of those things. then i realized, i haven't been in such a healthy situation with a certain body. and at the moment, i'm getting over it and trying to completely this time.

so i'm starting to think maybe i sleep much more when i'm upset about something. and that i use my sleeping and dreaming as of form of escapism. as opposed to being awake and dwelling on it (which i can't help) it's definitely become a pattern, because this person and i have been on and off for a long time.. so it's been up and down. i think i'm just realizing that this might be the case.

other than that, i still love sleep 🙂

any other fellow pisces feel this way?

When I'm sad or a little depressed or stressed out (or "downstream"), I sleep more. Like, A LOT more. Like 10 or 12 hours or more. I can sleep an entire day away, no problem. But when I'm happy, content, not particularly stressed (or "upstream), I sleep no more than 5 hours a night, usually less, and feel great. I can even skip a night of sleep with no ill effects.

Yes, it may be a bit of escapism, or a way to "recharge" your depleted batteries. But I wouldn't worry about it unless it goes on for a long time, or starts truly disrupting your life.
