It was called "Yankee Clipper". Very peculiar that considering were I was born, and when I was born, it was orbiting the moon, and how "Yankee Clipper" would somehow follow me in later years. After all, I was born, the year "the Eagle had landed". Didn't Neal Armstrong pass on this year?? In 1961 Alan Shepard became the first American in space. (Freedom 7) Shepard was born on Nov. 18. I believe in the same town as my paternal Great Grand-dad. He would go on to command the Apollo 14 mission after the infamous Apollo 13. If memory serves me right, Shepard guided the ship via fix on the mega star Antares. "The heart of Scorpius". (Scorpio) For me, pretty strange coincidences.
