I love it how Scorps use their forgiveness thing as a lethal weapon and totally milk it at the same time. As if their shit smells of roses. It's all a load of codswallop bruv.

all those website exagerate for dramatic effect. Like when an aries won't hold a grudge for long. Of course we hold grudges but just not as long as the average person.
Same for Scorps, they hold grudges for longer than usual because they feel more hurt because their more sensitive than aries that's all. All this fading away milarky is all bumber sticker shit. And it's bad because it probably puts more pressure on the scrps to act this way rather then engage in the humane act of forgiveness.

true true. You have your own stand on forgiveness and theirs nothing i can do to change or stop that i know and accept that.
But it's the ego thing that annoys me a little bit, like what gives the almighty powerful scorpio the right to cut all ties and decide whether or not that certain person deserves the cold shoulder or forgiveness?
Nothing is the answer. Because like you just basically said in your post, how can one control another ones emotions? You can't. So basically the scorp can think what it wants to think. You can't build the biggest and strongest sky scraper in the world and predict the force of mother nature. You just can't.

good points but apologizing teaches you forgiveness. And that's important. It also moves things forward. Which is ironic because because an aries we're all about moving forward amd forward thinking, but if we can't apologize then how can we move on and upwards? That's where our good ol' opposite is required because Their good with that kind of stuff. Almost to a fault sometimes but that's their little problem.

My Philosophy is basic, if it's hard to do, then it's the right thing to do. And there's much to gain from it. No pain no gain. And saying sorry is definitely painful no matter what.

True, and i do understand that it can cotton wool the truth of your original statement to that particular person. And your right about causing someone else harm as well. Even tho that's more of a selfless act to make us feel better really but that's a different kettle of fish. But if a sorry is all it takes to co-operate then that's what should be done. No matter how bad it hurts your ego, the bigger picture is the main priority.

I really wonder about anyone's ability to forgive; it depends on the situation and the person... and what else they have.

If they have another person who hasn't hurt them within reach, they probably won't. If you were that great, then maybe.

Basically, my advice (of which I have so much! - sprinkles it on the ground - ) would be to work on repairing the problem. Try to get back to "level one" with that person before you worry about the after part.

Because, to me, I've always been forgiven (supposedly) and then tried to just go right back into it. I would rather know that we left on good terms and that they didn't want to take the chance again than to ultimately wonder if I was ever forgiven at all and have that on my conscious.

Most people don't say it's over when it's not over. A lot of people have told me it's over... and it wasn't over, per se. There was still more drama to be had, but the actual worthwhile part was likely over.
