Hello my friends.

I started to have some very strange feeling in my right breast a few weeks ago as well as a weird "bubble" petruding out from below. Pain got worse. I also continued to stay sick with the flu for weeks although being on the ZPack and other antibiotics. I have silcone implants and have for many years now.

I called my PS last Sunday who told me to set up an MRI. No place could get me in for weeks, which I found unacceptable...I persisted and demanded I get in right away. After speaking 20 times to the head of MRI at the hospital, they agreed to squeeze me in within 48 hours.

Had the MRI....my right implant is ruptured. It happened during my mammogram last month (I assume). On top of that, the MRI also showed a lump on my breast tissue that was not seen on my mammogram...imagine that?

So I go in for Surgery on Tuesday. I am petrified of the reprocussions later on with the Silcone migrating and unfortunately, us Scorps LOVE to investigate everything. So what do I do? I have been on the net non-stop and gathering as much information as possible. Alot of it not good. I am trying to stop going through these horrible sites about silcone implants so I switched over to talk to my friends at DXP.

So I came over here to get some positive energy from my buds...I am very scared.

Thought this strong Scorp can get through anything keeping her head high....this ones a tough one....

Thanks DY...

I cannot believe how much pain I am in right now though...Tuesday can't get here fast enough.

Its like I have knives stabbing me from my shoulder down to my ribs and around my back. DR says its the pressure of the rupture on my nerves...its so bad..

Pain pills hardly touching the apin...

Thanks for letting me sob...its not something you go around telling many people you know so I appreciate the open ears...

Sophie

Maybe this will help you feel better. 2 or 3 years ago I had a lump that was found by way of a sweat gland. It was the size of a quarter and I bout had a fit. I got a mammo and then I had to get another because they wanted to make sure of the size. I was frantic. I was seeing my Cap friend at the time and he support me and my family supported me and told me not to worry....well I did but being in Cancer Research I knew I was with the best Ocologist.

Well any way I got a biosy and found it to be a sisk, I said the biggest think you to my higher power and from that point on I was getting a regular mammogram and doing self exam before and after my monthly.

Sista girl you will be find with the lump and the silicone, I know how it feels to have that damn metel smashing on your breast. Let hope and pray that the lump is just sisk and your implants can be repaired and be grateful that you caught it early because when you do that there is much more hope...

There are many women who suffer and have survive these type of ordeal, you are not alone.

Thank you Scorpionlady, Archer, Topaz, everyone.

Scorplady...wow...that alot. Pretty scary huh? Thank god yours was a cyst (which is probably what I have )...so all I need to worry is the reprocussions of the silicone in my body. Well, I decided I am having both implants removed...was a big decision but I cannot live in fear of this again

I feel like an idiot even bringing this stuff up, as I know I will be fine. This is peanuts compared to what many people go through health wise. I am definately not here to get sympathy.

I don;t get scared too often, my "wall" does not allow me to. I am very very lucky this all happened (rupture)...I guess that was point as well.

I'll write back after its all done and over...(few days)
