(((sends Natty some hot Jambalaya, beignets and batch of collards to heal her soul 😉)))
Sorry you've been feeling like crap! I don't get sick very often at all (KNOCK ON WOOD) so when I do - I am NOT a happy camper. I hate missing football too; especially good games. I can't miss college for nuthin' or I will be a grump ALL week. The pros, I'm a bit more flexible, because I really think at the college level they still have that passion and drive, and it makes the games so much fun to watch!
Yeah, I'm not surprised Rush's bid got shot down -- ONLY because I think the league was looking at the possibility of loss of revenue. As we all know, it's all about the benjamins. As much as people like to say they wouldn't have played for Rush, money talks and B.S. walks, so I don't think that would have been the case, but given the Rams are not like a stellar team right now anyway, the last thing they need is some controversy like this, which would likely make tickets sales go down, even for just a little while (and in the sports league business, that hurts).

Aw thanks, USC!! Can you throw in some yams, too?? Lol. Actually, the thought of eating makes me want to toss my cookies.

Yes, it would have been way too controversial if Rush would have bought the Rams. I was watching Inside the NFL, last night, attempting to get caught up with football, Chris Collingsworth (sp) was spewing some madness about America being backwards b/c every time someone makes a 'mistake' by saying something politically incorrect they get fired and that this the cause for right wing conservative talk radio and programming. Warren Sapp quickly corrected him by reminding him that Rush has not just made a few racially charged statements as 'mistakes'. He has built his career off of divisive and racially driven comments that just so happen to have strong implications of racism and prejudice. Furthermore, if the NFL were to allow Rush to purchase the franchise they would be sending a message that they are at least OK with racial and prejudice rhetoric. Yes, you are correct. Money talks and BS walks. The Rams would for sure loose money, if Rush bought the team, and I know they are not having that!

Sorry, BigD for getting your thread off topic.
