Everyone in my office........

has serious power issues.... I've never seen such a collection of micro-managing, self-absorbed bitches in one place......

Oddly enough there are only two bulls in my office: me and one guy that only comes in a two or three times a month....coincidence? I think not.........

well I'm working on that........ I am sooooo not a "power" person...... I just go with the flow and get things done in the most convenient and efficient way.... I'm not all about going through "the proper channels" just to make someone feel important......

Yeppers! I don't want to have to "brown nose" and kiss somebody's a $ $ so I can do my job effectively. In true Bull fashion either help me out, or get the hell outta' the way! What's up with all these people being "drunk with power" anyway? I just don't understand it?

Ditto! Hence the reason I've started my own gig last year! I couldn't stand ANY of that crap!

it was the stupidest thing today...... someone was filing files in the wrong order...I noticed it happening ever since this girl started working in admin....so I asked her who was filing the files and she said her and this other woman that has been here like 20 years... so I said okay I don't know who is doing it or anything but I just wanted to let you guys know that someone's filing them out of order and she was looking at me like she had no idea what I was talking about so I said they should be in alphabetical order, just in case you didn't know because I know you're new. and she tells me "don't accuse people" I told her I wasn't that I had no idea who filed them wrong I was just letting her know in case she didn't already..... so later the other woman comes up to me at my desk and starts bitching at me that I don't talk to her traineee...that if I have a problem go to her - and I tried to explain what happened and she started telling me "don't accuse people" too!

I don't know what is wrong with these people... first of all "I don't know who did it but I'm just letting you know in case you didn't" is NOT accusing people...second - I don't need your damn permission to speak to someone.......

These people are CRAZY............

Yeah, women should stay at home. I'm hungry, by the way!!! 🙂

I'd be happy to be a housewife......I'm all about cooking and cleaning and standing by your man.....but I'm not married so I have to get up and go to the seventh circle of hell every day........

I think this is a generation thing.

Back then people were supposed to just take everything up the butt with a, "Yes sir/ma'am but now higher ups and co-workers have to be careful with what they say because even well-meant advice may sound like a put down accusation.

You are right Jason. Also, I don't like that every work place has to be so "sterile" as NOT to offend anyone - no sexual harrassement, gender harrassment, race, etc. I think most of that BS stems from womens complaints, because I have worked with men a long, long time, and in my past career I was always with men and we told the raunchiest jokes (ONLY around one another and NOT in ear shot of any other people). Plus the guys always complimented me and everything. BUT, they didn't act that way with any other women, because they said if they just smiled at a woman they would get hauled in and fired. It's sad to me that a person saying, "Oh your hair/dress, etc, looks nice today." Can get someone fired! Yes, I know ALL about sexual harrassment stemming from innuendoes, etc, but good grief people are just way too sensitive these days. If I feel aguy or a woman are attractive or look nice in an outfit or whatever, I'm telling them not in a creepy, "I'm stalking you on FB and wanna see you nekkid" kind of way, but just in a "Damn, it feels good to get/give a genuine compliment" kind of way. People annoy the snot out of me right now; hence I'm on hiatus from humanity for awhile - well, as much as I feasibly can be - I've been very caustic lately and I gotta' shake it off!

This place actually makes me want to cry........

I understand both sides of the harrassment thing.... it's one thing to be able to joke with co-workers that you are friendly with..... but for me someone's actions are judged by their intentions...you could say the meanest thing in the world to me and if I didn't feel like you were intending to hurt me then I wouldn't care.... but if I feel like you're TRYING to upset, that is what makes me uncomfortable....... like don't make raunchy or racist jokes to a co-worker that you don't get along with...that's not apporpiate. Save it for your friends.

But in this office..... people are just so ridiculous.....it's not even about sexual harrassment. It's like I can't even ask an assistant to do soemthing without them complaining about me...and I'm ALWAYS wrong....if they don't feel like doing something suddenly it becomes part of MY job description. I just want to get the hell out of here but since I'm trying to move out of state I can't take another local job in the meantime or it will reflect poorly on me with potential employers....I'm so screwed.

I'm sorry xangelfishx 😢 that's how I felt the last year of my last "Corporate" job. I don't cry, but I wanted to cry every morning for a year. That's when I knew I had to go. At least you have a goal. Hang in there sweetheart, I'm not saying it's going to be easy, but you WILL get the hell out of there.
