So I have a HUGE dilemma. I started dating a friend who lives in Bahamas (we’re both originally from Canada), and I live in Canada. He makes enough money that we can see each other once a month, and he arrives in a week to visit, and then we’re off to Asia for Xmas for a week. Only thing is my attraction to him has faded, losing any chemistry. He is madly inlove but besides the distance I just don’t see a future I want. We get along great, but there’s no passion and we’re only 9 months in with once a month visits. He’s a Pisces who would do anything in the world for me and I really don’t know how to end this right. This is truly a nightmare as I have so much respect and admiration for him. He's sensitive too, so respectfully I shouldn't drag this on, but HOW to address?

I'm not a Taurus but my fella is a Taurus. For him, and from what I've gathered from Taurus in general, long distance doesn't work for you. If someone isn't 'there' in front of you or physically with you then it's not going to work. My fella loves skin contact. Not just sex but the physical touching and intimacy. Taurus is a sensory sign. Perhaps the distance hasn't allowed you to actually build a sustainable relationship? Once a month visits doesn't seem enough.

I'd also question your long term plan which is something it looks like you're already thinking of. Do you continue with him flying to you once a month and if so, how long for? Will either of you move to be nearer to each other? If the practicalities aren't there then there's no point continuing.

Of course, you might just not fancy him! It happens! I'd see how this visit goes plus the week in Asia so at least you've given it a 'practice run' so to speak. You might even get on better than you think but if you don't then you've had a trip out of it and can move on.

Today we have come back from our first holiday together and I can say it's a real eye opener for us. we've been together 11 months. I'm 37, he's 45 so it's been a good test to see how we get on. I kind of questioned if there was a lack of passion between us. I'm a Scorp but heavy fire/water. I concluded it's not a lack of passion as such. More that I'm not used to spending THAT amount of time with anyone and I was feeling a bit suffocated. I like freedom/alone time as I like to miss my Taurus but I didn't get any alone time whereas he loved being with me 24/7 and couldn't understand why I wanted him to bugger off fishing for the day and leave me by the pool!

Also, as a Pisces man, you may find him too clingy or passive or a bit of a walk over, and that might be off putting to a strong Taurus woman. Throwing that out there as I was with a Pisces man for 3.5 years (albeit 15 years ago) and ultimately I found him too passive. Lovely fella though. Just not for me. He ended up marrying an Aries!

I don't know if any of the above helps but hopefully others will come and shed some light on this from a Taurus perspective.

Thank you for the response. I've tried to analyze it to where I feel sick about it as he is such a gem. But selfish comes in different forms, and keeping on when not right is just as wrong. You completely nailed my issues, the intimacy, clingy and passiveness that really has me feeling that this is still the friendship we started as and not a long term romance. I will go on this getaway as I would still go as friends with him. We'll have fun and perhaps the true colours of what we are to each other will come out right. Thank you for your perspective, it makes me feel a little less crazy about letting great man go and more about what ours needs truly are. Bless you and wish me luck!!!
