Taurus man likes then ignores me intentionally?

This Taurus man was my colleague and it was more than clear he liked me. I am a Cancer girl and I always found it easy to get along with Taurus. He became my colleague last summer, and I met him when I got back from my vacation. He was seated right opposite of me, and that's how I realized he liked me, it was in the way he looked at me. Even colleagues noted our attraction and guys often teased him about me.

About me, I am in a happy relationship with another Taurus man and we have our ups and downs, especially due to our stubborn personalities.

The thing that attracted me about my Taurus colleague is that we got along so easy and we have the same way of thinking, acting, we like the same things, we are very very much alike, he would send me messages about every day after I left the office and he knew I was with someone else (he often asked about my bf and tried to make fun). Since he was working with us on a determined period, I knew that eventually he will leave. I honestly never wanted to act on this attraction, because it's not who I am, but I still was very much attracted to my colleague and I could talk to him about most things on my mind and he would do the same with me. His attitude towards me changed about a month ago, as his departure was approaching. He started to ignore me at work (we were 3 people in one room), before we talked all the time especially when we were alone in the office, stopped messaging me, stopped like stuff on my fb where he was present at anything I posted. And no, he did not met anyone else, I know for a fact.

Yesterday was his last day and now I feel sad about it, we talked for a bit yesterday and he said something like "i knew this was coming, but i didn't think i will feel so bad about it". In my current situation, I wouldn't have left my bf for him, but I still wanted him as a close friend.

Did he do this on purpose, ignored me because if was easier for him?

Did he always know you were involved with someone else or ever know? If he liked you, then realized you were involved, that could've snuffed out his desire to maintain any sort of relationship with you. Just because dude was leaving doesn't mean he had to cut you off like that.

I have a hard time believing that a grown-ass person would cut someone off like that to make leaving easier. If you really like someone, in whatever way, you try to stay in touch. He acted butthurt.
