Well if anyone can keep me in-tune to an hour long cooking show, it's ambitious foul-mouthed UK celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey.. He definately takes the culinary whip to both the newbies and the veteran's chefs alike! "Ouch, no mercy here...! 😉 and a scorpion to boot.! so good all-around entertainment.
btw, he's been awarded a total of ten Michelin stars. So he knows his stuff..
Yeah! no holes barred with this guy..LOL! i LUV it too! i've been watching more this season with the Veteran chefs. The last episode, he not only made the poor chef cry himself to sleep like a baby at night; (also due to his non-existant clientele, i might add) he locked Ramsey straight out of his restaurant the next morning, and he basically had to beg and weasel his way back in..LOL* "why? why? why?" Ramsey looked completely lost that time..lol In the end, thankfully it all worked out, hugs and handshakes all around, or was it just handshakes..! 🙂
I've actually eaten in one of his restaurants.....my friend's b/f is a chef at a really posh restaurant.....OMG the food was out of this world. I've never tasted anything like it in my life!
You are soooo lucky Thetis; Ramsey is great; have alot of respect for the guy, his unwavering high standards and attention to detail. i finally got to see one of his restaurants, but only on tv..'it runs like a small army, totally organized, very impressive..! *i can only imagine; the food MUST be to die for!! ..🙂
We just had out own series of Hell's Kitchen here except it was with that Marco Pierre White instead. Was ok I suppose but not the same without ole blue eyes. 😢
lol @ D it's basically a team of ordinary people from the public one each week (i.e. one week it will be a team of firefighters the next it could be nurses or whatever) and they have to cook a three course meal. The diners (some celebs some not) have to vote on whether or not they would pay for each dish.
The team then get points for how many dishes they've served that the diners say they would pay for. At the end of the series the team with the most points wins.
In between though he does a "challenge Ramsey" with a different celeb each week, similar sort of thing they both cook their own version of the same dish and it gets voted on. He also does various informative bits throughout the show and chats to various celebs.
You're talking about The L-Word. I've watched that a few times and liked it. Lesbians are awesome. I'm proud to say I'm a lesbian because I love women too. Hope that doesn't offend anyone.
I like how Ramsay will even update the dining area and signage in addition to the culinary, if needed. He will even buy brand new appliances and cookers if needed. Atmosphere is half the enjoyment, as he says too. ha ha ..last time i watched, one restaurant had 72 items on the menu! Yeah, Ramsay got rid of the *# $ @##!!! telephone directory in no time..LOL
There's one thing i would include for all chefs and preps though. Wear latex gloves while handling food. Human hands naturally have oils on them, and who knows the last time the cook has washed his hands..lol* That would be one of my golden rules. I think Ramsay would agree ..he's pretty keen on the hygenics too ..lol Many times, he has had to shut down and clean a place first. "NO food poisoning for him again!"
"What sign Is Chef Gordon? He seems like a Leo to me."
Actually, Chef Gordon Ramsay is a passionate Scorpion! I had this strong feeling he was water, from the MEGA-like emotions! lol =) ..again, i admire his high energy, and his serious, professional dedication to what he loves. There's a right, a wrong way and a better way, helping weed out the lazy and careless, that only bring down a restaurant. He's a demanding guy with the highest standards, yet with the biggest heart.
And was just going to say, there's another talented, prof chef to watch for; Scorpion Curtis Stone - *Take Home Chef* yes, yet another scorp, born only 4 days apart..! LOL, he could actually be Ramsay's younger brother; they even look alike, sharing the same love and dedication for what they do.. sharing back with others. Completely qualified as a chef, by 18!! Except this Aussie chef doesn't swear, notta once!! LOL Anyway, he selects a complete stranger off the street, buys all the food stuff, goes back home with them, cooks up this delicious gourmet 5-star meal, to then surprise an unsuspecting b/f, g/f, spouse,, etc etc! ...
Hey, that's fantastic Thetis! yeah, i agree totally, he is legend! And just when you think he can't possibley get any angrier,,well..LOL!
Honestly a couple nights ago, in Hell's Kitchen, it was mayham and sweat once again for the student chefs. Near the end, he told them all to just "GET OUT!!!" and had them all running down the hallway to their rooms, like lil 4 yr olds..lol Man, he cracks me up too.
Scorpio sun/Virgo moon; passion + perfection (hygenics, cleanliness) of course; a mop & pail we've seen many times = Gordon Ramsay 🙂 ..all makes sense, nice combo!
Hey - just a little note to let you know I've been feverishly working on our story @ every available time. I thought I should tell you in case you were thinking I'd been abducted by men in black suits or something. :P
I am watching this Ted Turner channell where he fixed all the movies. Seems some people like him some don,t but he is keeping some clasics around. Me and me old mate jake just watched lost harizons with jane Wyate and ronald colman great movie.
I'm so miserable and sad that they are ending Farscape! This was my favorite show for so long... Grrr, it's just too expensive to produce, aparently, and they have canceled it in spite of a petition by loyal fans to keep it going. Friday March 21 will be

I know this isn't a Soap Opera, but what the hey! Anyone else watch this show?
I was really hoping ol' Jake would make it, even though I knew he had a slim chance. I hope that they get rid of Clay next, what an A$$hole! And I dont like Helen eith
on All My Children. Looks like David buried a body on the beach...and he's willing to ruin Maria's life to hide his crime. We'll see what happens...dun dun dunnnnn....lol
Probably no one will have any idea what I'm talking about, but personally I think that they shouldn't have made Kendall and Trey (All My Children) brother and sister--there was way too much sexual chemistry between them. I was really pulling for them to
