my sister and her husband bought a new house, so we gave some gifts to them for their new house.

What are some of types of gifts do you give to people you love in your family or friends when they buy a new house, or move into a new place? Doesn't have to be a bought house, but maybe they moved out and have their new place, a new apartment, home, independence.

gift basket:

Something meaningful in the design of which they decorate. Something that fits their personality.

Or something cute for the yard.

As I cap, I tend to figure out something practical they will use every day, but something needed they don't have.

Or an appliance that needs updating or like a cappuccino machine if they like cappuccino for instance.

Then there's always the standards like candles, towels, dish towels, etc

that's a really great one, the cappuccino machine. They don't have one while my other sis and her man has one. This couple doesn't because they don't need one. plus they don't entertain people (family and friends) as much as they've got busy schedules with work and the children.

also, the something for the yard and the decoration is Always a nice touch.

i got something for the children too, it's not their birthdays but since it was a housewarming i still got some toys and clothes for them.
