Aqua man on and off

Ok here it is. I have been involved with 3 aqua men in my life>
the first one was a short term
the second one was a fling that transformed into a life long friendship
the third one... still to be classified

The first disappeared and then appear after weeks of silence, with apologee letter and wanting to reconnect, but it was too late, and we remained friends

The second one we knew we would be best buddies after a love season, and we are now the closest friends ever ( we speak every day and we share all the secrets about who we date and give support and advice to eahc other..) pretty cool eh?

The third one is the person I am in love with, and he is so complicated for me to understand. We fell for each other after a slow dating period, in which I had no idea he was even that into me, until he said he loves me. After stating it he starts the rollercoaster again, gets close, breaks up as he cannot handle a relationship, comes back. Gets close then has doubts again, until this xmas which we spent with his family and he hints "ring" but never proposes (good thing as i would not expect it and would be too fast for me), then after 2 days he breaks up... did not mean to, he said but it was obviosu that he was "suffocating" again...lol!
funny thing is I never brought up the M word, but he would in several occasion, trying to test me or what?
Anyway he is gone now and I have been silent. His silence is pretty hardh to deal with, especialy because at this point, and I also told him I would love to be friends.... dont aqua men want to stay friends with their ex? I thought so.. oh well any idea or could you share with me your experiences? I thought I knew a bit about aquas right now and I am lost again. '

I feel like I am reading my own story with similar experiences. You can't expect anything with an Aqua accept the unexpected. I guess it is sad when you love someone and you can't have them the way you want. I was in that position and I thought why deny myself pleasure and happiness because of that. I decided to move on and met a fantastic Aries man who isn't afraid to be there for me 100% and he is very fun too. I still think of the Aqua man I fell for but I never really had him as mine and I probably never would have had I not moved on and I would have missed out on someone who isn't afraid to love me.

Now as far as him not wanting to be friends or not even responding, I think that is typical when they do not want to deal with it and it is easier to ignore. My lost Aqua guy who I had some very strong feelings for had told me many times that we would always be friends yet no longer responds to me either. I think we were just at different stages, me wanting something more meaningful and him wanting to take years or so to figure it out if he wanted more. He was too emotionally unavailable and that was extremely frustrating. I finally gave up hope but alas I still think of him today. We share the same birthday next week and it has been one year since we have talked so I feel sad about that.

All the happiness that my Aries man has given me more than makes up for the sadness though. We go through life missing people but we need to put our effort into others who are really there for us and want to be with us and don't play with our emotions as if we do not have a heart.

Thank you. Wonderful message motherbear. Aries are not my cup of tea (lol) but I am glad you have found happiness. Yes I can definetely see the emotional unavailability in his actions and let me add a bit of emotional "retardation" at times.
Its so funny how they (aquamen) are able to put out mixed signals as well, they want commitment, then they run scared, in the meantime you sit and watch this rollercoaster they created trying to understand if there is a hint of psychosis behind this irrational behaviour.
The sad part is that this aqua guy has married twice before, choosing these deranged women as his partners for life> one was abusive and had some personality disorder, the latest (the one that broke his heart for good)cheated on him and left him for another guy..

It seems to me this guy has not yet learned from life and he is stuck in teenage mode. As it regards the sign characteristics> I can see the longing for personal freedom and the unpredictable behaviour.
After being upset a bit I am starting to look at it as a human experiment> which obviously did not work LOL

Also, because despite their eccentric behavior, when they do love you, you feel unconditional acceptance and understanding of your humanity....

Because they are strong men....the kind every woman needs.
