I have no experience Help!

hello, I'm a Virgo female with Aquarius rising and the guy I like is Aquarius. I would like to know how can you tell when an Aquarius man likes you? I know him since middle school and we have been talking on fb since January. He doesn't know that I like him, so I treat him like a good friend. The other day, I was chatting with one of his friends and told me that the Aquarius guy and I would make a cute couple and that I should give him a chance. He also said that the Aquarius guy thinks that I'm pretty and is interested in me. I was very surprised. whenever I talk to the Aquarius, he feels so cold and like he doesn't care about talking to me. I think this because his replies are short and he doesn't ask questions about me and never messages me. However, when I message him, he replies immediately. I believe he is just being friendly.
Now, I'm confused and I really don't want to waste my time. English is not my first language, so I hope you guys can understand what I'm trying to say 🙂

Known him since middle school, when was the last time you saw him in person? just curious...

It's always best to be friends with your Aqua 1st, that way you'll literally learn how to tell the difference b/w who they just like from who they actually love.

Well,we aqua's are more of the type that the 'do' is better then 'say' .
If he is friendly then it may be a sign he is interested,but try to notice what else he does around you,how friendly is he,etc.We aquas can be cold , and if you don't show a sign that you're interested then we will think that it's no use that we shall show a sign of interest either. Maybe that sharing opinions about a subject you both like can take you two to get to know each other better.
