For love in all the wrong places! Anyone have any advice on where to meet a NICE guy? I have done the bar thing, church thing even tried the grocery store thing!

It is hard, you can meet drunks in bars and religious nuts in church, and I would like to know to where else to look?

You can also meet drunks in religious settings, grocery stores. psychotics in bars, I suppose you are taking a chance wherever you go. I think your best bet might be through knowing someone. Good luck!!

Hi! It is hard, isn't it! I tried meeting people through other people...after giving up on other methods...(church, bars, psychos-r-us...Ok, I made that one up...) The ones I met through other people didn't pan out either...I have a hard time meeting a man who doesn't want to mall me for some reason...(I hate that!)
OK...back to my reason for writing...I finally put an ad on the internet...oneandonly.com (with the w's of course) and americansingles.com (also with w's). However, this is still chancy, I know..I have a strong intuition and can feel things about people even through an e-mail message...this has been my guide...I met many men with this method...although there were also many I chose not to meet...I always meet in a public place...never give out phone or address, etc. And, most of the time, I only met a man once...depending on my intuitive feelings...
Out of this, I now have a really good male friend that I have loads of fun with! We really enjoy each other, but are taking the serious stuff slow and focusing on friendship and fun! He is fast becoming my best friend! We have been seeing each other for 9 months now...(wow!)
These sites will let you put a free ad on..but make you pay a monthly fee if you want to answer someone else's ad...
All I can say is that it worked for me and my mother approved!

Oh...I should perhaps point out...I didn't meet someone I was interested in right away...
It took 5 months or so...
Try to be patient no matter what you do...although, it is hard. I know.

They changed the set up here, but I am "whatever" in the Cancerscopes. I just think you are such a nice person really. You are so right, it is very hard to meet people any which way, but I really think the focus should be on friendship for a while anyway. I am happy for you with your new friendship.
I am in the midst of breaking up with someone (who has a very hard time letting me go) and am meeting with an aquarian male as a friend. So far it has been great. Anyhow good luck to "looking". It's never easy, but don't settle for "second best" OK 🙂)

Thank you Star and Whatever for your wonderful advice! I will be sure to look into personal ads and the like. I know that I have, now, reached the point that I want to begin to share my life with someone "worthy" of knowing me! And I am now looking at everyday as being the first step in accomplishing that goal! Thanks for the tips and experience!!!
