Yall watching this show on Showtime? Its about Masters and Johnson who did the sex studies in the 50s. Virginia Johnson is an aquarius. Pretty good representation of the aqua woman from my observations. Curious to your opinion.
She is outgoing and magnetic and gets people signed up for the studies. They feel comfortable with her and she has a way of explaining what they're doing so they are eager to sign up to help science. She presents it in a way that makes them feel like they are contributing to the future. (the cap, Masters, kept screwing it up and made it too clinical and they were suspiscious).
She had a doctor friend who was basically friends with benefits and when he told her he loved her she kept insisting they were just friends. He ended up breaking up with her. She broke his heart.
Then she told someone the reason she wanted children was so she could finally know what it felt like to truly love someone because she had never really felt like she knew what love was before.
My grandma a February 4 Aqua said she never said I love till she gave birth to her twins... My mom and Uncle. I can't say I have that same problem but... It is hard for me to admit to myself and utter to someone else because I hate saying such a thing and not living up to the expectation.
Just watched the first episode and I can't wait for the next one! Not only because Masters and Johnson are going to have sex with each other!
Let's talk a bit about Masters too. He is a successful Cap who put his career at risk to discover the truth about the tabu subject of sex/orgasm, particularly the female pleasure. How unusual!
However, he's got a very interesting configuration in his astro chart: a yod ("Finger of God") pointing out at his Venus in Aquarius, who is powered by Mars and Pluto (both in quincunx with Venus) and triggered by Neptune, who sits opposite Venus! This may explain his interest and also the risk he took (obsession?)
Otherwise, a Cap and almost ridiculously so! He said that he was driven by the desire to win the Nobel prize. Interestingly, he's played by Michael Sheen, an Aqua, who I think (too lazy to check) also directed the film.
As for Virginia Johnson, she steals the show! They couldn't have done it without her, that's for sure.
Yeah, Masters is a typical shy, socially akward, secretive, evasive but definite, forwardly blunt, career-driven cap looking for the final goal (the Nobel prize).
In episode two, I cracked up when he was trying to recruit the girls and everything that happened with that. I won't ruin it for you though.
And, nope, they couldn't have done it without Johnson.
Dont spoil it for me, Ive only watched the first episode. It looks like its going to be a good show. Im taking psychology of human sexuality this semester and we just talked about masters and johnson yesterday.
