Seeing my aqua ex

So, on Friday I go to a friend's party and my ex aqua is there. I've seen him a few times since we split up in March, and have said hello and asked him how he is and he's acted very cool so I don't take it any further. So his behaviour on Friday was a BIG surprise...

We'd all been drinking and I went outside to speak to some people and he came out after me. We started talking and I started making fun out of him, in a nice teasing way, like I used to when we were together. We end up on our own and I tell him I'm glad that we can be comfortable together and that there's no atmosphere. And he then hugs me, for quite awhile. After that I leave to go inside. A few hours later he starts talking to me again. By this time I'm thinking of going home, and since I live about 15 mins walk away I decide to walk. He offers to walk me home. During this walk home he tells me how sorry he is for finishing things and that it's because he's an emotional cripple. But he really regrets it now because he still loves me. I nearly fell into the road at this!! Was totally not expecting it! He then starts pouring his heart out about how he feels about me and us as a couple. I'm dating someone else, which he knows about, so I tell him that nothing can happen. He totally shuts down then.

I'm still in shock that he opened up so much!

I think the drink loosened his tongue more than he would have liked! Lol, I bet the next time I see him he'll be as cool as a cucumber and act like nothing happened!
