What is the biggest misconception about us aquas?

Hey Im new here....

I was just wondering what do people misconcieve about you, if anything. Since my friends believe I am cold, emotionless and practically asexual, due to the fact that I dont talk about men 24/7 and worry more about social issues, and also because in the past year I have been asked out 20 tmes and have said no because nobody rang my bell or sparked and interest within me. However I know that I feely deeply I just choose not to let the whole world know about it.

Anyway does anyone have or has experienced similar misconceptions?

Misconception and aqua go on the same sentence. Worst thing ever happened that pissed me off (mostly about people's stereotypes and little about my "different" behaviour as an aqua) was to be passed for gay exactly because I don't speak about women 24/7. Thankfully soon after I was together with my ex (at that time) and everyone was like "who? you?" lol

Thank you for your comment. I honestly do feel like some of my friends believe I am a lesbian...but thats cool. lol! I really dont feel I need to justify anything to anyone as I feel it just isnt that important. Also, with the whole 'aloof' and 'cold' thing people really dont understand that for me its more a defense mechanism. Id rather not let my guard down since I have been hurt alot in the past, and having a bad childhood I just dont let people in like others around me. Well...Im learing (I think).

In all honesty, people should not be so quick to judge anyone by their star sign. I for one know that I am not the nicest person in the world, but when I first meet someone thats the picture they gain of me because thats how Im feeling at that time. I dont want to give of a false persona, and I dont beleive I do. Aquas are human beings, no- one is nice all the time, but hey that could just be my libra rising. 😉

The guy I see now is a Sag, and everybody is completely shocked, can you believe my mum gave me a hug. lol! She was ecstatic...I had to remind her that babies are nowhere in my future yet.

And I agree people assume Im shy and introverted....not this aqua!

haha, sister makes innuendos that I might be a lesbian b/c i never talk about guys or bring guys home, etc. Some of my other family members may have the suspicion as well.


Same as OFA some believe I'm shy, but I'm not. I'm more so a conversation elitist.

I'm sure when or if I ever decide to introduce a guy to any of my family members or friends they will either faint, pinch the guy to see if he's real, and many of my guy friends said they will congratulate him...I guess Im a tough cookie.

I ditto that simply from my observation of Aqua's as well, no offense meant or intended, Aqua holds a few parts of my heart an memory bank, friends adn a lover, which is why i read this board, they have my interest, and i constantly look at is it them or me.

Being openly rude to your face takes some certain amount of not having a handle on your emotions. It's not an Aqua, Scorp or Capricorn trait.
I see it with aquas but they give the frozen terse remark, quite rude but if you're not watching you may miss it. People say they're quite blunt too but I never see it - now Sagi or Aries, OMG the horror!
Obviously every now and then we all lose our tempers... no matter the sign.

Actually, I find that aquas themselves promote the mystery aura... they're the first to say 'i'm misunderstood', or 'people say I'm weird'...
Astrology point of view opposing signs have the same aim so the Leo tendencies are obvious with the Aquas I know but not so in your face, it's intellectually done... i.e. look at me, I'm different... well as you can see, a lot fall for it

🙂 TY skys.....you've pretty much summarized that particular part of my personality to a tee! I absolutly dispise justifying myself to ANYONE. Why should I? Just because I do things differently than someone else does does not make the way I do things wrong. I do not see myself as someone that can be explained, but experienced. Never have and never will.
