Equal House makes all the houses the same size.
So 23 degrees cancer rising would mean every house afterward would start at 23 degrees.
So 23 degrees cancer, 23 degree Leo, 23 degree Virgo, etc.

Placidus uses different calculations, houses aren't forced to be the same size. Interceptions can happen as well as having the same sign in two different houses.

Since the degrees for other houses are changed dramtically, where planets fall in the houses will change. So the chart readings will be different.

The plus side of Equal House is that you have all the signs in a single house, no sign can be missing from your houses, unlike placidus. Downside is the degrees are changed, these are important if you want to see if plasnets are conjunct an angular house as well as check conjunctions with fixed stars.

Just list where your planets fall in equal house and read up on those placements.

Sir horns

I have noticed when I use equal and Koch Chiron falls in the 11th house but in placidus it falls in the 12 th.....which would you go for?

Thanks

Depends on how Chiron is selected. If he's on his own as a singular or conjunct a personal planet, his effect will be more pronounced and meaningful then say a Chiron with minor aspects to outer planets.

I'd read up on Chiron in the 11th and Chiron in 12th then see which fits you more.
From my view, Chiron in 12th seems fitting. You do share details of your spiritual healing and tend help others connect to that part of themselves.
