i only have once, and that was with a cap, from my old job, about 10 years ago..he was really the only reason why i dug deeper into this..before that i always thought it was just for females and weirdos (he was a loner thou)..but honestly i still wouldn't talk about it seriously amongst my peers..
its one thing to talk about your sun sign (which is what most people do), but if you start talking about retrogrades and conjunctions and shit like that is when it gets kinda strange..
Not usually. Usually I discuss theology, politics and relationship matters with friends. As well as random ha-ha and other. Funnily enough astrology is just a passing discussion.
Because I'm so in love and obsessed with astrology, I never bring it up. I feel as if it's a part of my personal life or something. Even with friends and family, I never bring it up, I only add in a few words and I'm done.
I talk about it with my mom and a few friends only some of em are interested. The person who is most interested is one of my Virgo friends. I think the others think im really crazy or something for being into it
Tracy Marks has a chapter on ethics in astrology (book is The Astrology of Self Discovery); she explains pretty much how astrology is a language, a way to communicate reality that may not be accessible to everyone. I don't talk about it except with the closest of friends (2) and find that if you do you risk being ostracized or shut out by people who don't understand this field and all of a sudden regard you as a crazy person 🙂
All the time. People always want to know more about themselves and seem fascinated. Only one person ever got hotstile about the conversation- my Dad! Something about his religion not condoning astrology. Thought the 3 wise men were astrologers, but okay.
I talk about it with my mom sometimes.. She used to be into astrology at my age.. Sometimes I'll say things at work if people get talking about sun signs and horoscopes but I dont know anyone that knows that there are more than just sun signs but myself and the dxp crew
Well I am 53 years old and started getting into it from about the age of 12 with Linda Goodman's Sun Signs, then from the age of 20 to 22 I studied it seriously and gained a recognised diploma in it. All my friends and family know that I am into it and my latest friend was acquired via a dating website, the key thing that we have in common being that we are both Virgos and both interested in astrology! When I was younger I used to ask people's zodiac signs fairly routinely but as I have got older perhaps it seems a strange thing to ask especially of some mere acquaintance so I don't tend to do that so much now unless perhaps the person is very open and friendly. Unfortunately back in about 1981 though I made the mistake of asking this of a woman who turned out to be a very devout convert to Catholicism and she practically told me I was going to go to Hell for believing in astrology, then seemed happy that she had converted me from my benighted ways (she hadn't, of course!) and said some shit like "maybe you will remember this evening as a turning-point in your life"! I then told her that the Vatican used to have its own astrologers: she hadn't even known that and was totally shocked! LOL!!!!!!!!!
