Does being born late affect your chart in any way?

Hi,

A friend of mine told me she was born three weeks late, and wondered if that might have impacted her astrologically. Because she feels that she doesn't have very many traits in common with her sun sign. However, there are some traits of her sun sign that she identifies strongly with.

Any thoughts? I guess a similar question could be asked for those who were born early. Thank you for any information you can provide.

This may be a little off-topic and so perhaps not quite what you were meaning, but what I have wondered is if being late affects your "karma" in some way. What I mean is that I was born a week late, but I have read that those who are born late WANTED to be born late (i.e. they chose when to be born) and that God or fate or destiny or karma or whatever kind of punishes those who are reluctant to be born but rewards those who are keen to be born and so come out early. In my case if I had been born when I was supposed to have been born I would have been a Leo but being born when I was I am a Virgo, but my ex-girlfriend used to say that I should have been a Leo (i.e. that I am something like a Leo though I am not one - I do have three planets in Leo and also ascendant and Saturn in Sagittarius). Anyway, most people would rather be a Leo than a Virgo so perhaps I am a Virgo just because I was reluctant to be born at my due time, and I do feel that I have had a lot of bad luck and disappointment in my life and have often wondered if this has been some kind of "karmic punishment" if I chose to be born late. My son on the other hand was six weeks early and seems to be having a much happier childhood than I did.

your view is the one I would like to believe everevolvingepithet. When my friend asked me if it made a difference, my best guess was that you fall under a sign whenever you are incarnated, regardless of whether you are early or late. But that was my response from my own reasoning and not a response based on my knowing it to be the truth. What I have found in astrology are many opinions but not enough consensus, so I toss my inquiry to the world and see what others think or know to give me a better sampling of opinion.
