ELEMENTS: EARTH-AIR

Besides describing basic character traits, as elements combine astrologically the same way they do in nature so the astrology of the elements is amazingly accurate at determining how two people will get along and whether they will have a negative or positive effect on the other.

This thread is made with the intention of not you to share just your experience with some person of certain element; but also comparing action/reaction between 2 elements with your action/reaction with a person of certain element.

EARTH-AIR:
Depending on it's mood (and therefore it's temperature) Air can either provide Earth with loving warmth or give her an icy chill and cold shoulder. It can sometimes be a struggle for Earth to get Air to come down to her level and see the world for what it is--a beautiful reality, rather than a concept to be analyzed.

There's a mental meeting point here and these two will respect each other. But earth can feel uncertain with air??s changeability and unreliability, and air can find earth —a stick in the mud??

Air upsets earth in the tornados and dust storms.

When Earth meets Air, it's like opening the window to let the fresh air in. It can be exhilarating to Earth to be lifted up, if only temporarily, to see from the lofty heights of fantasy and rapid ideation. But if Air doesn't offer Earth anything tangible, only pies in the sky, there could be a loss of respect. As with the other signs, Earth brings Air down to ground level, and offers practical ways to take concept to reality. Air can find Earth stuffy and slow, but will begrudgingly respect the way they get things done.

It can be a relief for the weighted down Earth to be lifted up by Air's ideas and free-thinking. Air may offer a different spin on how to prioritize things, which can be liberating for duty-bound Earth. Earth helps the remote Air discover the mind-body connection. Earth can also advise Air so that some of their dreams can be made real.

Strong air/wind can uproot earth and turn it over to a fresh new side, invigorating the particles of the earth, making it fresh, cultivated and a perfect ground for new growth.

Likewise, earth gives air a solid base to work from.
