Aw I'm so sorry to hear you caught yourself a nasty little cold. I must have been having sympathy pains because I came down with a cold about the same time as well. I am still not 100 percent even now. Anyway it's good to have you back-we missed you (I know I can speak for more than just myself about that). I will jump up and down and say hurray anyway!!Even though I do feel bad that you are not feeling to chipper. Rest and be well soon, lost of water-(as much as you can stand till it sloshes in your tummy) This will get you well faster than anything I know. A friend of mine's mom was a nurse and she gave me that advice one time. I tell you it works, it flushes the virus or whatever you have right out of your system. You will not want to see a glass of water ever again (you have to drink that much) but the bug will be gone. Well I guess I will go and leave you in peace to rest. Get better so we can hear all about your trip-ok. Ta! Ta! TW2

Hi ya'll,

I've been trying to think what I should say about my 1 month and 4,300 miles of adventure.

I think I'll start with day 1.

I had some fear about traveling for so far and so long in a pickup truck, pulling a rectangular box, behind it. Where would I go, if I couldn't sleep, what if we had a fight, I couldn't get away!!!

With all that in mind I took my place in the passager seat! Our first stop was about 300 miles and we pulled into a dirt RV hotel for our first night in 'the rectangular box'. After unhooking geez, I just got a beer and sat down to watch, we decided to have steak and fired up the barby. That was fun, now what? As the mosquitoes buzzed by, we decided to enter the home away from home. Sitting on the couch, yes a couch!! we looked at each other and said, what do you want to do, what do you want to do? Of course there is no TV reception, unless you have one of those mega Motorhomes that have satelite dishes. So I said let's play Trival Pursuit. 'We can't play Trival Pursuit with just two people he laughed'. Why not? Being an only child, one other person to play with was enough for me!
And so we started. We played over 3 hours laughing our butts off and I don't know who won, but that wasn't important. What we did find out is we are pretty smart in different subjects, but what was so amusing was when we read a question and didn't know the answer it wasn't important. We ended up calling it Trival Pursuit the 'I don't know, and I don't care' Edition!

So ended our first evening!

Hey Candle Girl, Happy to see your feeling better! Sounds like a great first night. I am sure you have lots to share about your trip. I for one will be all ears (or eyes)so to speak. Ha, no pun intended! So I am glad to hear that all is well in your world, as it is in mine. I missed you this past month. Hey check out my last posts there are some web sites I found that are pretty good for submitting your writing projects to. They are good sites, with lots of great links to other places. Just thought it might help some of us aspiring artists.. Anyway its late just checked in to see if anything new was posted on the site. I must get some shut eye for now. Ta Ta TW2

Thanks TW2,

It was cool to see your post welcoming me back. I am honored!

Finding an avenue to submit your writing is very hard. After I had my small book of poetry published, it didn't sell right away, so I had a website built. Costly, but worth it. As I said I am looking for a Literary Agent now and won't settle for anything less than a 3 book deal and a movie!!!! HAHAHAHA You have to think lofty! I basically quit my job to be a full time writer. So I better come through at some point, no pressure!!!

My Scorpio believes in me so that helps a ton. When I first showed him my writing, I made him sit alone and read it. When I saw him afterwards, he had tears in his eyes and said "Who are you". It really helps to have that support.

Anyway have a good weekend, Mr Scorp is playing golf in California this weekend so I will have some much need alone time!
