HOW much does your Sun sign rule you?

I'm still abit of a beginner with Astrology and hope some of you gurus could help me out with this one. I've always felt you cannot escape the personality/nature of your Sun sign. You will always have planets pulling this way and that at the end result, but the sun sign is the essence of who you are.

Could someone shed some light on this?

Also, RATE the top factors in order of scope (Sun sign, Ascendant, etc however it goes)...I'm curious

it rules my value system, but not my behavior

That's a very intresting question! Having Sun & Mars in Leo and Moon & Venus in Cancer it's impossible to tell where one ends and the other begins. Seems like it's 50/50.

the sun does not neccassarily call the shots, the sun rules principles, morals, its you deep down that u are aware of, you identity and your will power, how u stand up and say i will do this b/c i believe in myself


but if a planet is more aspected in your chart then it can carry your theme. If you have mars heavily aspected then u may be a drven person who is always getting your needs done, if your moon is dominate then you may be a person wh depends solely on your emotions to determine life

Each planet "rules" your personality in different ways. Yes, some can technically say that your sun sign is your overall demeanor BUT there are different elements to the concept of personality/psychology though just like there are different parts of the brain. Some parts may be more essential but overall, they all play a vital role. That's why you have to break down & understand what each planet "brings to the table" to make the overal bigger picture.

My sun is in Aqua. It'd be fair to say that most of the people I know, after studying astrology for themselves, agree that I'm an Aqua to the tee.

But my moon is in Cancer. When I'm going through certain situations that involve alot of emotions, I act just like a Cancer, almost so much that some people might mistake me as a Cancer instead of an Aquarian.

My Venus is in Capricorn. I like referring to one's "venus" as "how they are in love." When it comes to love, I love more like a Capricorn moreso than the typical Aquarius. When I read about "Capricorns in love/relationships" the descriptions sound like me to a tee unlike "Aquarians in love."

My mars is in Aries. In matters of aggression/extreme situations, I act just like an Aries.

It's alot easier to easily distinguish which planets have a stronger influence if your chart is composed of different signs that are all opposite of or conflicting with eachother. I can always tell when the "Cancer is coming out" b/c Cancer is damn near the opposite of Aquarius; how they tick are completely the opposite. Both signs being so opposite 1 another helps me to know which influence coming out, is holding down the fort =)
