Living up to your north node!

Is it easier do you think to fulfil your north nodal desires/tendencies/whatever if the rest of your chart is conjunct it.
For example my N.N is Aries and I have an Aries jupiter, I also have a moon and venus in gemini which is sextile and a Saggi ascendent in trine.

However, surely it would be difficult to relate to your N.N if it was badly aspected in your chart.
For example, I know someone with a N.N in Gemini but he has no air in his chart at all. Surely this can't help. Half his chart is in water (mostly scorpio). That would be like me having no fire at all to help my N.N

My nodes seem to make perfect sense to me.
I know I want to be more Arian, I know I work best on my own but I prefer to have someone else supporting me and doing it with me even if I end up doing all the work. I know I fall back on relying on others instead of doing things on my own even though I do things best alone.
I know I'm happiest and things go my way more when i'm instinctive and impulsive but I let myself get all indecisive and Libran which makes me unhappy but it's hard to control.
I felt mine long before I knew what a node was
