A fascinating topic I have thought about often!
I'm glad you brought it up.
Also side note: when people mention how taurus is ruled by earth makes absolutely no logical sense to me.
It's as if astronomy is of no concern to them...
This irritates me to NO END ARRRGH.
The moon is a satellite of planet earth, RIGHT?
So we can say the moon is simply the representative of our own earth..
If we go all the way to mars the placement of earth and the moon would virtually be the same..
So I say The moon/earth is Cancer!

So Mars One is a non-profit based in the Netherlands w/ conceptual plans to establish a human colony on Mars by 2025. They intend to send groups of four people at a time every two years. Over 200,000 people from around the world applied to be considered last year and the launch is set to depart in 2024. Perhaps you've heard?
What is blowing my mind is the astrological standpoint. Everything we understand about astrology is geocentric (earth based) us being the center of the zodiac. I have all these curiosities about how the planets will affect humans when they are not on earth.. how will the energies interact with them in a different location? And the humans born on Mars (Martians really) how would their signs be determined? What will still apply? Martian astrology would need to be Mars-centric.. What role would Earth play? What would Earth rule? The angles, degrees, & transits will be entirely different from a Martian perspective.
Also I hope the people selecting the candidates are considering their charts. 😉 It's going to take some very special personalities to pull this off. Fun game: What would be the ideal placements for the Mars colonists? Aquarian for sure, but what placements and what else? And will their personalities be altered after leaving earth? So many thoughts to wonder about!
