Yes, I couldn't really grasp the concept totally let alone how to interpret the individual personas. Do you use it in your interpretations?

Concept is very simple.
Natal chart is the birth of our sun (our ego just to draw a comparison) and how it relates to other planets ... similarly we want to see how other planets are born( I couldn't think of any other word to describe) in our chart? It's like we want to give importance to every planet and see how it relates to other planets.

So when the first time sun transits over say moon in our chart, that's our moon persona chart. It "wakes up" or "gives birth" to our moon chart. Our emotions have a birth and we can see how it mingles with other energies. It is a part of our whole. But it isn't the most important part bur it is still a part of us.

Thank you for the simplified explanation. So when the sun transits over those planets, it's like the Sun gives 'birth' to the other energies present in us, represented by those planets. And each planet reprensents an energy/persona that exists in us.

The first persona chart I created on astro.com, was the "moon persona chart". It's like the moon is a person(persona) here, and it has its own "date of birth" and "natal chart". I understand that. Now the aspects. All the planets and the aspects description of that particular chart, it doesn't apply to me directly. It applies to the moon persona. So the "moon persona" has its own planetary placements and aspects.

In my case, the "moon persona" has its moon in libra, sun in scorpio and I forgot about the ascendant. The moon of my "moon persona" squares uranus and neptune. And the sun of my "moon persona" sextiles uranus and neptune. Let's say I manage to get around this, how do i relate it to me?

It goes something like this, "My moon sign in scorpio has a "moon persona" whose moon is in Libra, but it has sun in scorpio." And wait, there are other planets too.

This is like watching "Inception"! 😛

Sorry for the long reply, I kept writing while thinking about this! 😛

Tbh, persona chart of any planet will tell us the needs or how that planet works. It gives a very deeper understanding of rhsg planet. Like say Mars persona chart, it says how that planet works for you. Works against your wishes, what area it is affecting positively based on the house position, that area that is being focused by the planets and in turn it may affect another area badly.

It's far more in-depth. It's like the magnified chart... Like we focus on one area of a map to understand and feel it better? That's persona chart. And many wouldn't want to know it.
It can actually tell you in detail about that planet. Natal can't do that

I found the article above via google.

All this persona thing would be so much simpler if the aspects are not involved. Taking your example, let's say you are looking at the Mars Persona chart. You can see how planet mars actually expresses all it's energy by looking at its different planetary placements. Till here it makes sense. Then comes the aspects' part. Can't they simply be ignored?

Are you saying you want to discard aspects?Don't read it like you would read a natal chart, as in expand your understanding click to expand

Yes, I am saying that looking at the aspects makes things so burdensome. Important meanings might get lost in details.

If I analyze the aspects of the mars persona chart, I would get an idea of how mars operates. Now, mars has aspects in the natal chart too. It's going to be crazy to get those two pieces of information together and get a whole, clear picture.

I thought that similarly to harmonic charts where house position and signs are irrelevant, in persona charts, we might not need to consider the aspects, but only the signs and houses.

Ah okay. I mean you read the chart the way you want to and each of us have our own unique style of reading charts.
Having said that, I would say if you want to get into persona charts it is a shame if you are going to choose and pick what you want to find rather than dive deep in and absorb it in depth. But yeah simple/basic is good too.

I think you are right though. Persona charts give a vast amount of details for a reason. Things shouldn't be left out. Haha, I am nowhere close to be able to read a chart on my own, I would leave this to more experienced people like yourself. I was only looking for an opinion about the subject. Thanks Squishy!
