Progressed Charts. When I heard about it I went to one of these astrology sites and got my progressed chart. The first thing I noticed was my sun sign in a whole different place! -Taurus?! :S

So, I googled about "progressed charts" and found all types of info (see: endless, long and boring) about it. Anyway, I still don't have a very clear idea about it, but apparently as we grow up we transition from one sign to the following one... I don't know if that makes me happy or sad... well, probably sad, I wouldn't want to lose all those characteristics of my birth sun sign which I love.

I would really appreciate it if anybody could explain to me -in plain english- what a progressed chart is? And the good or not so good things about it?

Well, what it really means for us in a nutshell is this....
We are still all the same things we were born into...but as the planets move and our charts progress and the signs change,we learn and change in those areas that the signs/planets have changed.for example,I'm a Taurus, with all the stubborn closed mindedness that implies.but the last few years I've noticed I think differently than I ever have, and have really opened my mind to things I never would have in the past.
my progressed sun,is now gemini, and my mercury was natally taurus...but has went thru gemini and now is I think 1 degree cancer.my moon is presently progressed to virgo, the opposite of my natal pisces moon.so I'm learning to understand and express my emotions in a totally opposite way.
so,we are still all the same things we were, but we learn and grow thru the progression of the planets.we learn the things each sign understands in the areas they are in.did that make any sense?
my progressed mars is leo, which also explains some things that are changing about me.

Ooh, I see. What about the progression of Venus and Mars in your chart? They are suppossed to help define what a person finds attractive or likes about the opposite sex (same with regards Sun placement). How does the progression of these planets in the signs will affect someone's love life, per se?
