I guess it's benefiting. Specially if advanture and excitement is not a core value for them. But construction and team building.
We're too old for "adventure" and we've both been through the "exciting" relationships that included a lot of conflict. We're both happy to find another person on the same page with the same values and temperament. We have fun together and are relieved that we tend to agree on most things. Sure, there are disagreements, but we are able to talk it out so there's not much fighting.

To a young person, that may sound boring, but like I said, we're old and appreciate the comfy/cozy aspect in our relationship. We're a great team and have the same goals.

I love it when I don't have the traditional compatibility aspects with someone, but have some other compatibility factors, like me and my bf both have our moons in the 11th house. It's important, no vital for both of us to be friends with our mate and not in the "friends first" context. We both know how to establish a friendship with our partner while in a romantic relationship. It comes natural to the both of us.

However, what you described is having the same SIGN in houses. That's almost the same thing, but the planet would determine where it affects you. So if you have a Cap moon in the 4th house, but he has a Cap Mercury in the 4th house, you would probably need to stay in touch with home in order to feel like your best, whereas he would probably think and talk about his home alot. Now, this would highlight that you both value home....the expression of that value would be different.
