Okay, I'm sure this has been discussed before, but after getting to page 17, I gave up on searching.
Is the only reason we use tropical instead of sidereal because of culture (India uses sidereal, everywhere else tropical)? From what I read, the only difference is the point where they start from: the stars for sidereal, the sun for tropical.
Do you use it because your tropical chart fits you better?
I looked at my sidereal chart, and while, at first glance, some things seemed off, when I started reading about the placements, there were parts that made sense. Just like in tropical. Not everything is going to fit me perfectly, but they both have qualities I can relate to.
Thanks for the article. I kind of skimmed over it, but got the basic idea that sidereal isn't the best to use. Also, might I add that the comments by people made me kind of mad. Aha. They thought that tropical only gave you your sun sign, and sidereal gave you everything with the planets, like your mars, merc, etc. Ahh, people. : (
