http://astrological-sun-signs.suite101.com/articles.cfm<BR> If you scroll down that main page it includes articles that give marriage and divorce statistics for each sun sign. However, they don't include the data, just a few book references. What do you think of their conclusions for your sign? Mine seemed pretty on target considering myself and the married Pisces I know.
It's strange they were able to come up with statistics, but Dr. What's His Name in the other thread couldn't. 😛 I'd still like to see the numbers, though.
i have a hard time believing that everyone is most compatible with a mate of the same sign. sure dating another aries is great fun but i need WAY more stability than that. however i can see this being more true with earth signs, like virgos dating virgos and caps dating caps
The best match for a Virgo is another Virgo. Two Virgos can provide one another with intellectual stimulation and accommodate each other's obsessive-compulsive habits. Also, both put a particularly high value on healthy food, cleanliness and good hygiene. Additionally, neither is inclined toward public displays of affection, public arguments or hysterical emotional outbursts, which decreases the likelihood of fights.
Yeah, but this pair could get really insular, and boring...
Actually, I've always suspected that the only person who could put up with a Virgo is another Virgo...Hmmm...turns out, on an average scale, I was right 😛
"And why are all the 'best matches' of the same sign? I don't think thats true..especially of any earth signs!!"
Well, that was the reason they did the study. They wanted to find out if the matches astrology says are best, were really true. In some cases, they weren't, but in others they were. The Scorpio/Pisces match is legendary in astrology, and it turns out, scorp/pisces marry each other more than any other sign and divorce each other less than any other sign.
branh0913: I've never met a Virgo woman who I've found remotely interesting.
Keep looking!
The Virgo Woman I worked with here before her retirement was very interesting - and intellectually stimulating (no surprise there!). Had our life situations been favorable, we probably would've gone beyond friendship...
SS: I've always suspected that the only person who could put up with a Virgo is another Virgo...
Yeah, and they know it, and I suspect it would be an unbreakable couple...
I read them all too, Connie. The Capricorn marriage/divorce statistics actually did confirm something I've seen for quite some time. I know three happily married Cappie/Pisces couples. My grandparents are one, and they'll be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary next month. 😉
"You know as weird as it may seem same sign relationships can work, thers the other planets involved so as long as they are compatable it doesnt really matter."
I agree! It's a major astro no-no, but I've dated another pisces before, and even though we were WAY too much alike, I can see how a Pisces with other placements might have worked. Ah, well. 😉
"Cool site btw. Thanks"
No problem. I just hope more start popping up with actual data in them. I would love to find out more!
I always thought Libra/Libra would be good and this study deems it the best match, very likely to marry and least likely to divorce another Libra.
Being the same sign there is going to be a natural basic understanding that decreases the risk of triggering the insecurities of each other. This is probably especially true for Libras since they are both so diplomatic, and so easy to over analyze.
I definately want to marry my Libra gf, I have a libra moon as well and her a Leo sun...the study also said while Libra women were most likely to divorce Leo men, Leo women are least likely to divorce Libra men. Another point in our favor....booyah 😉

LOL As Libras go back and forth so much trying to find balance, I don't really know how two of them in a relationship would EVER be able to make a decision. I guess it can work anyway. I can see how arguments would most likely be rare, with both trying to maintain diplomacy and not upset the apple cart.
i just think that two people of thesame sign never seeem to last.there's too much sameness going on. it gets boring too.i just think that every relationship needs a little mistery in it ,in order to keep it more exciting.
