Posted by SoulDude...thanks for the history lesson...but there is no good vs evil, jews manufacture war.
Idk, I was born in 1990 so fighting tiny wars was always a thing. Living in fear from terrorism in the back of my head was always a thing. Being hated by most of the world was always a thin.
And before me was a Vietnam (with a few other tiny wars after) then before that was ww2, ww1, so on and so forth since the beginning of human kind, which even then you'd still find the forces of good and evil fighting a never ending battle.
Welcome to the machine.

yeah, that was my war too.. fled Kuwait in the midst of it.. good times

Posted by truecapDang, you old! 😄
I was born while Vietnam Nam was going on. I remember when Iran held our people hostage. The Kuwait war happened about the time I graduated college - Desert Storm.
Seems like about every 20 years there's a major conflict.

Posted by bricklemarkPeople didn't take a Bavarian corporal seriously at one time. He even published a book telling the world what he was about.
Any other 40 year olds not care about this?
My war was Iraq, when Saddam invaded Koweit and the US showed us their tech on tv....it was weird.
Then 9/11 so huge, amazing....shocking....and then nothing for almost 15 years. All that happens is now minimal in my adult eyes.....

When I was born Vietnam had just ended but we lived in fear that the Soviets would push that red button. It created a nihilistic streak in my generation that backfired when we realized we DID live to see 30. Not a lot of us were grown up by then.click to expand

A lot of people died.
Then again, that is from a time when you still had people who had the right idea regarding the concept of total war against existential threats... .click to expand

I was talking just last night about the fear they instilled about the Soviet Union and growing up with that "they are going to nuke us" every day. Teaching us about WW2 with the films they rolled in on the big TV's and the VHS/Beta tapes.. etc.. It's pretty crazy thinking back on this stuff. The berlin wall coming down, The Kuwait war , etc..click to expand
