Uranus and Sexuality

There's no way to not make that title a terrible pun.

*sigh*

Alright, so, everyone that's been into astrology for more than five minutes knows to look at Venus, Mars and Pluto when it comes to individual sexual expression and physical chemistry in synastry. But I'm thinking there's another element that can come into play: Uranus.

It started with ands' thread on affinities. With a (barely) Libra Venus and Virgo Mars descriptions for my own natal chart have indicated a (hopefully without going TMI) healthy but disappointingly conservative style of sexual expression. Until I started looking at how Uranus squares both placements, essentially adding some weirdness to Virgo's perversion and explaining why I have such an irrational fixation on everything water bearer.

Obviously planetary aspects augment how any particular placement functions in a chart so that observation alone doesn't mean much. However, prominent Uranus contacts are something of a staple in synastry among homosexual couples (Uranus being the only planet in our solar system to rotate backwards — coincidence?), and the sign it rules, Aquarius, while a masculine sign has been linked to androgyny. Uranus transits are also like windows of opportunity for sexual experimentation and deepening or reawakening expression.

And Uranus isn't only applicable to the LGBT community either. Love at first sight? Those crazy hot relationships that are amazing (and sometimes destructive) while they last but eventually get torn apart? All potentially the result of some Uranian lightning. It strikes fast, burns white-hot and hard and with a volatility that only makes you crave more, and then unpredictably flickers out just as quickly as it arrived. Significant Uranian contacts are found in my synastry with both the Scorpio and Cancer respectively. Uranus also seems to explain why I'm a walking magnet for Sagittarius moons.

Any thoughts? Opinions? Personal experiences with Uranus?

Uranus in the 5th conjuncts sun sag, scorp moon, scorp merc.

I have a Venus/Sun/Mars conjunction in the 7th house with my Sagittarius Uranus squaring each respectively from the 10th.
