In a normal situation when one asks a question they expect an answer and/or explanation... lol I was having a 'huh' moment when I read your response. :p

For me deep = having the ability to take on and discuss more complicated issue, whether it is psychological, economical, financial, etc. Carrying over the discussion in a further level, asking 'how' and 'why' instead of just 'what, where, when'. Some people that are deemed as 'shallow' is either incapable or unwilling to stir up their minds and critically think about, let's say, double dip recession, or how to solve the poverty issue in a third world country or why it even begins. They prefer to talk about less serious subject like movies (not Inception type of movie of course) and even if they do talk about some huge issue we are facing, they only touch the surface and refuse to divulge their mind in further in-depth analysis about the matter.

As for in a relationship... I don't know. I guess a deep person has the ability to look within themselves and see why they feel some certain way or do certain things. More shallow people will flaunt the word 'I love you' around without knowing why they say it or think about its implication.

So after saying that, I guess in my mind deep = having analytic & critical thinking ability...? I mean, I don't know. That's why I'm asking the question. I've seen people saying it here, and I'm curious on what they means when they say that. Could you elaborate more on what you just said?
