Cancer best friends abandon me

I don't have friendships with many other guys but when I have, they were Crabs. We hit it off instantly and become "bros" and have this intense whirlwind friendship and share things I would never tell ANYONE and *poof* they're gone like our friendship meant NOTHING!?
3 times this has happened in my life and I wanna know, what's with the "disappearing act"
Is this common?

Cancers value friendships. I usually hold onto my friendships unless someone does me really wrong. Me and this girl have been friends for 17 years and I'm about to let go cause its starting to seem she is not valuing the friendship anymore. Do you recall ever getting into an argument with your cancer friend or do you guys keep in contact regularly?

It must be an act if you call it an act. Tell them to stop acting.

— Hes probably going through a bad situation right now, I tend to lose contact with even my closest friends when things get hectic in my life. We don't do it on purpose, its just isolation helps us deal with issues (big and small). I always feel horrible afterward for abandoning my friends and often feel like i don't deserve to be there friend anymore, then as time passes with no contact that feeling gets easier to believe, then its set in stone. ??

Never an argument. I don't know. I've been told I demand a lot of attention and maybe I'm too smothering or something. I thought most people would be flattered by that, though.

Maybe this can answer your question.... when people are Unavailable or Unreliable this should send off red flags. They only need you when necessary and then dispose of you like trash, until you're needed again. These are not true friends and this is with anyone...

So don't take it personal and just keep it moving, they will wake up one day and realise that the true friend that was there for them and that they abused are gone. it will be thier lost..their problem. life is too short for this type of drama, there are real people out here with real problems that can use the support. A person should never have too much pride to turn away the help of a friend if they truly needed it.

Sometimes these people just like to stay in a slump and mope, sulk ect...because this feels good to them, they rather be sad than happy. they think when something bad happens to them, it's the end of the world and no chance of happiness would ever be in site.

It seems that when good friends are always around to show support...they are taken advantage of at some point in the friendship.

okay... I disappear with friends too... Sad... they take it personally. There's a lot of things to do too,. at home, at work at self. I'm just busy... and lazy... But I don't forget people whose fun to be around, sharing same interest and those loyal to us. Friends shouldn't be that demanding, we're friends not lovers, its suffocating. Oh sorry 😢 I sounded rude. waaaaaa

why i think most cancers only have a few friends as they age, people truly empty us of our goodness, and we need to save it for ourselves.

True that. I always have had few friends. And NEARLY everytime it's an one way street with all the expectation on me. Sucks.
