Questions first. Why do you think that he's still involved with his ex after a year? When transitioning from her to you, why did you think they were still together, what sort of things did he do to give you that impression? Does he share anything with the ex (a child, a pet, items)?

Well if you're getting a gut feeling, you're gut is almost always right. Plus you've put two and two together with the pics and timing. If they lived together and owed a house, I'd say it was serious and I suspect his ex probably did bring a lot of positive change and happiness into his life. However, if you're worried about him still having feelings for her, you can get that idea out of your head. What they had is probably over and was probably over before he sought you out. It is possible that the remaining broken pieces of their failed relationship was still lingering when y'all first started hanging out, but if he was pursuing you simultaneously, he was probably out of love with her at that point. That's not to say he had any real feelings for you at that point, I'm just saying he was probably:
-over the ex emotionally
-over the ex mentally (made the decision he no longer wanted her) and not completely over her emotionally (not fully ready to separate with a blunt cut, maybe for reasons of closure)
-over the ex mentally and emotionally but had to temporarily put up with her because they both had ties to a house (or things that are hard to just pick up and walk away from)

He probably doesn't want to talk about her maybe because:
-he still is emotionally hurt or maybe even financially hurt from the breakup
-he is angry and maybe bitter with her and wants to keep his calm
-is still in the process of getting over her and may be forcing himself to move forward
-he cut her off so bad that he forgot about her existence (and doesn't care to remember)
-he doesn't want you knowing the things he allowed her to do to him (so he won't give you ammunition in his new relationship), could be too embarrassed to tell you how it worked out for him (could've gotten played) or maybe he did something really horrible to her (and he doesn't want to tell you for whatever reason).maybe you unknowingly played a role in their drama somehow.
Idk, these are just guesses. But maybe he's fond of speaking about anything Indian because he has been so exposed to another culture to the point where he knows his way around and can partake in Indian culture without looking foreign or lost. Sort of like when people who travels to particular places in the world can relate better than someone who has read about it in a book. People just get excited about things when they become knowledgable about other cultures from first hand experience. That's sort of an exciting feeling.

Does he still have feelings for her today? Cancers will always have feelings for their ex lovers. Like nostalgic feelings. And it really depends on how they broke up. Do you know if it was an abrupt breakup or a progressive one? Cancers can come back and love their ex if it was an abrupt breakup (like something negative happened following a quick separation). It all depends if what happened was a deal breaker, a continual problem with the cancer or just a one time slip up. If it was a continual breakup, like his love was fading and fading until he got out, he will never develop the same love he once had. It's probably gone. Did she break up with him? Sometimes if a cancer wasn't ready for a breakup, they may still be open to something later down the line (but this may be hard, depending on several factors).

No problem! I agree with Redmanscorch. Sex, food and talk. And don't talk about it much after, leave the past in the past.

Lol, so I think id like to point something out to you (from reading your text). The ex is...the trigger....not the cancer himself...? Could it be you causing the chaos? Hmmmmmm...? I'm only asking just to give you done food for thought. Don't let that ex change your future!

Idk Taurus woman are smart women when it come to these things. You can never be too sure what's going on with Cancer. The hurt was probably really deep with this one BUT if he hasn't really given you a logical reason to think that there is lag from the previous relationship, then I wouldn't feed into the thoughts. would not even play with it. Just trust your intuition & make sure you two are keen on communication. We love us some Taurus women. Good lord🙂

Thanks, Vero! I agree wholeheartedly. At this point for me is just the air of mystery around it... And so I think too soon for him to want to talk about. Sure wish there was a textbook timeline on that lol. But I also totally understand the or if sight, out of mine approach, so I'm willing to be patient and hear the story one day when he is in a better place to let that out.

I'd agree, I'm the best thing since sliced bread for him, and being a Taurus woman is what's gotten us to the great stage we're at today.
