Cancerian traits on Frida Kahlo's work

I don't know if everybody know who Frida Kahlo is, she is a cancer her birthday was today. she was a mexican painter a very talented one, and out of her 200 paints most of them include self-portrait... Ive always been a fan of her work... is transmit such strong emotions...

While I was looking at one of my favorite ones today... I've notice something that I've not did before... most of her works reflect strongly some of the cancerian traits... for those of you who doesn't know a lot of her history she when to a very tormented life beginning with having a terrible accident while she was riding a bus, suffering from depression and choosing to love (deeply) another Mexican muralist Diego Rivera who despite how ugly the mother fucker was cheated on her repeatedly...she was never able to have kids after that accident.


Any how... what Im talking about I've notice all the facial expression on most of her self-portrait, who shows such strong, composed, aloof demeanor, like everything is cool, but what happen inside her body is what reflect all the strong emotions that she was dealing with... best examples are "broken column" 1944 and the two fridas after her divorce of Diego Rivera, most people consider some of her work sadistic to certain level, but for me is just a graphical representation of the pain (physical and emotional) she was dealing with, and also a way to express them to the world without losing her poise as public figure...

One of the things that I like about her is she always uses the heart in a way to express who deep in pain she was... her personality was very cancerian (typical) considering that she was not miss universe pretty, there was something about her and her personality that attracted to many men to her life, but she was devoted to that fat idiot... another interesting fact about her is that she lodge for so long with the fact she couldn't have kids, she want to be a mother, also (just like rumors about cancers girls) she had bisexual tendencies too... Proud of a talented (yet tormented) passionate cancer woman!!!

Err..I'm not very good at expressing my thoughts but here goes nothing. Some of it relates to mother nature, how we should take care of it. Most about personal experiences, the unborn child, feeling alone even if with somebody/crowd etc..The others showing hidden personalities of her. Anyways, gotta get back to work = ).

She is for me a graphical expression of all the waves of emotions some cancer in this forum describe
