Hmm I don't understand how old you are? We go by standards and forms in my country...but umm.. You might not actually LIKE him. Being a scorpio also I found when I was at school if I had someone I considered a good friend (best friend or not) and suddenly I felt I was being replaced because they weren't paying me the same, if any, attention as before I would get jealous.
If I remember correctly year 7 starts around 11 or 12? Unless I've read what you've written completely wrong. Anyway I imagine you are both still young...so I'm wanting to say it's just a stage in his life. I wouldn't take it personally if I were you.
If you haven't done anything wrong then you have nothing to say sorry for. Also I think if he hated you he would probably be mean to you.
