I think the push pull thing come from insecurity and too sure of the situation so they back off.
I was dating a cancer that i hooked up with a couple of times. He was cool but when I met him his mom just passed, but he did the whole ignoring thing sometimes, plus i was really sweet to him.
After months of not talking he texted me out of nowhere sating wassup. I told him he was not real. he said I am sorry and how can i make that up to me, I said actions speak louder than words but I am not stuck on you and moved on with my life, and then I told him just text me soemtimes and we will see where it goes.
But I am so good, I forgot about him and moved on, they like to chase well time to chase me.....(I am a cancer too)
Cancer-"I'm back"
Me- "Back from where"
Cancer- "I was depressed for a few weeks"

I had been dating a cancer man last summer up until fall. The usual Cancer push pull. At some point in this dance i got fed up and just stopped contacting him. 2 Months later he initiates contact. I hear from common friends that he had been asking what happened to me the time I was ignoring him. Now he is back, and I have taken advise from the gurus on this board, and let him contact me. He seems to like initiating plans and i love it. I am just going to keep things friendly between us and get to know him. Thank you wise people!
