I am in a relationship right now. I found my cancer ex on a social networking site. We had been out of touch since last 10 years and now living in different countries.
Now, when I treat him more like a friend, this guy keeps on manipulating me by sending me meaningful songs and all. He claims that he can't think of anything but me and wants me to leave my current relationship and marry him. My intention is just to stay in touch with him like a friend. I am happy with my current boy friend but I would like to keep in touch with this person as well like a friend. (We never had sex or anything.) I try to stay nice to him but he gets heartbroken very often when his feelings are not reciprocated the way he wants it.
My question is do you find it hard to stay friend if you have strong feelings for someone or would you rather think it in a —something is better than nothing?? sort of way? Would you want to stay in touch with that special person even when things are not working the way you want to?
