How should I understand that break-up reason?

Im a Scorp girl. I met him 5 months ago during his holiday in Vietnam. He is Cancer (both sun and moon). We dated for a month before he left. Amazing time together with all matched: same job, same passion, same life goals in 5 years (which I knew from his sharing in our very first date). We are both fitness instructors and he said he felt in love at first sight when he saw me in training.

Then we were in distance relationship. The day he left he told me how much he felt so lucky to find me from 12000km away.

First 3 months distance were amazing. He quitted his job to move to my city. Sold his stuff and prepared all documents. I prepared visa (im Vietnamese) to visit him on his birthday (10 July) and we booked same ticket to fly back together. Everyday we video called, sent messages and photos. Day and night.

1 month before my flight, I got visa refuse. We were both down. Then I tried my best to ask the consulate to reconsider for my case. I got it finally. Then he told me to stay in Vietnam and wait for him to come back to start new life with him. He got a new short-term job to earn a bit money more before he left his country.

Then silence treatment. During 2 weeks, we didnt talk. Then he appeared again after he finished his short term job. We talked again on and off. Once or twice a week by messages. Then he got family trouble in his birthday. Suddenly he contacted me and talking for 2 hours of his troubles. Then disappeared again.

Finally I waited for the day he came here. 10 days ago I picked him up at airport. He kept distance with me but still talked. After 4 days I asked him to talk about us. We met for dinner and when I asked about us, he said he wants to stop. I asked about reason. He said "after I got my visa issue, something in him break and no feeling anymore about us"

We still met 3 or 4 times after break up days as we have many common friends in this small town. Now 1 week already and I didnt try to contact him for 3 days.

I feel messed up and very confused. Sad and down. I dont know how just 1 night you wake up and all feeling gone. What does that reason mean?

Typical Cancers irrationally acting pick your head up and move on, he frightened himself away by moving to fast or telling you what you wanted to hear, your lucky he told you what he felt.

At least he was upfront about the whole thing. Accept it n move on.
