I thought about 'the curious Case of Benjamin Button' and I thought about my son then I thought about you guys lol. Is there some truth to Caps aging in reverse? I don't know. We were at my son's luncheon (he's graduating out of 8th grade) and he sat at the table complaining about how it wasn't his type of scene and his classmates are too silly-but he has tons of friends-one his closest being a Aqua and Virgo. Then he proceeded to grab the pitcher of coffee poured himself a cup coffee, added cream and sat there stirring. The look on his face was priceless. He had that 'Get off front my lawn' type of look lol. I was disappointed but amused by the action of him pouring the coffee. I really wanted him to enjoy himself and mingle but he didn't want to. The funny thing is that when we were ready to go he wanted to stay. I couldn't understand it. He's 14 and his nickname at school is GranPa lol I read somewhere in Linda Goodman book that you guys start off acting old and then progress to acting younger. Is this true for most of you?

I'm an Aries. My kids have a lot of freedom and room for personal responsibility. They get themselves up at 630 in the morning for school. By the time they've gotten home they've already finished their homework at school in after school. Weekends they can stay up till they fall out lol. We laugh and joke a lot. I consider myself a freedom-with-boundaries-type of mother. It is understood that as long as they do the things they are supposed to do they can pretty much do what they want (within reason that is lol). I wouldn't let them go to the park by themselves (because of the area) but I do let them go out of town or on far away trips with responsible adults whom I know. My oldest has a lot of freedom only because I don't want him to be sheltered as I was. He's going to have even more because he's going to school in a suburb. He's gonna have to take the train out there (two hours away). He'll be fine :-)

I was writing software at 8 on a TI-99/4a computer. At 13 I had my first job in warehouse. At 14 I was drinking black coffee because it was more "efficient" than spending all that time adding creamer/sugar. It's only now at 31 and have children can truly appreciate crawling around on the floor on my knees.

I think the key is we are just born with that serious mentality, and only after we've been bumped up a generation that we begin to be able to observe childhood from the external. I think that is the key, because my experience is that Caps ten to "synthesize" mentalities. Caps are socially guarded so we spend most of our time with the grown-ups that we tend to understand more. This I suspect causes the "adult-child" attitude. Fast forward to where the Cap is the adult. Since he is family oriented the people he begins to relate to are his Scorpio daughter. This ends up being who teaches him to laugh and play again.

This is quite an accurate assessment of Capricorns-The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. I have read several places that we age in reverse. The greastest example I read about this was in a critical analysis paper about Zora Neal Hurston (Brilliant Writer for those of you who aren't familiar, google her). She was described as a very beautiful woman who seemed to age in reverse. She is a Capricorn and in the analysis the discussion arose about her relationships. The paticular section stated that when she was young, older men often courted her and pursued her and when she was older all the younger men were after her because of her girlish looks. After seeing some pictures of her I can see how this applies. As this relates to myself, I am always getting the "you have a young face" or you look younger comment. I was even shocked when I was carded at Chili's one night when I ordered a drink. What was surprising is that the waiter didn't even card anyone else at the table but ME and yet the real underage person was cracking up. I handed him my license and he said "sorry, you really look young". I was like yeah right. Yesterday this young guy hit on me at Walgreen's and I laughed at him and said you could be my kid brother young man. He said but I'm not and you're still cute. I told him thank you but playing X-box is prob not one of my past times. Lol I think Capricorns age gracefully and have been blessed with a youthful exhuberance. Look at some of the beautiful Capricorns who seem to never age.
