Hi, i am new to this forum...so ya...I am asking this question because there is this friend of mine, not exactly friend but an acquaintance who only texts me when he needs my help with something...like some trouble with studies or has some doubt about something similar...i have tried to be friendly with him but he seems immovable...he just wouldn't take it further and its been months...
he's actually the busy type like the typical capricorn and i don't see him much but he won't contact at all for sometime and then appear out of thin air asking for help and talk as if we are long lost friends!!!!

what should i do with this guy?...
he's so sweet when he talks even though its for his own benefit but then he disappears till he needs me again and its frustrating!! should i stop helping him?

what is frustrating you though? are you expecting something in return?
I think you should bring it up with him...
hey, you only seem to call when you want something, what's up with that -

I don't think he is intentionally using you. He probably sees you as a friend who is willing to help and doesn't mind helping. Ask him to do something for you sometime. Surely you could use some help with something. I'm sure he'd be happy to return the favor. If you let him, he will just keep on asking because he is assuming you're okay with it.

Tease him that he owes you for all your help and a cup of coffee or a movie or a dinner would be a good payback!

I don't really see what he's doing wrong, especially since he's only an acquaintance. If he was asking for money or something inappropriate, then I could see a problem with this. But he's only asking for help with schoolwork or some other harmless stuff. If you don't want to help him or he's bothering you too much then just tell him that.

And what do you mean by "i have tried to be friendly with him but he seems immovable...he just wouldn't take it further and its been months..."? Your intentions seem different from his.
