Whenever I text my cap and tell him how much I love him and how great he is,he just ignores and doesn't respond back and I kinda get offended :-/but when I'm all cold and answer him with one word answers he opens up and talks.why is that caps—

Kenya maybe he's not comfortable with hearing it. He might not be feeling it right now and doesn't know how to respond so he ignores it. Try telling him that you DON'T necessarily need to hear him say it--that you're simply expressing how YOU feel about him. Then maybe he'll be more comfortable with it knowing you're not expecting him to say it.

I agree with all of you guys.I don't want to hear an I love you back or w.e.I'm just always telling him how great he is because he has low self esteem and i want him to know that I love him and have feelings for him.I keep wanting to prove to him that he means the world to me,not because I want him to prove it back but because I don't want to lose him 😢

Not always but in some cases its good to be a lil aloof...

Are you miffed because he isn't acknowledging you?

To answer the question - One person does the talking. When you are quiet it creates a space to be filled. And vice versa.

Frequency can influence meaning. Try pacing yourself by tacking onto the end of the conversation for the day. Try putting it in a not so charged way either, with positive greetings that represent how close you two are.

Do not do any of this to prove anything...chances are it will backfire. The proof is in the pudding, and it doesn't need frills or excess to be picked up on. This isn't being cold, unless you are someone who is trying to be closer than we want you.

I agree I was just overly emotional for the past few weeks and that kinda pushed him away and Idk what to do.When I text him he responds right away,but stopped initiating 😢

If you overdo it, he will think it insincere.
