Personally, I think that those who do not value the lives of others, including animals, do not deserve to live themselves. I believe in an eye for an eye. What about you?
Do you believe in the death penalty?
It is not as simple as that. That quote is so often taken out of context and used as an excuse for revenge. Isn't there another quote from The Book that says something about not judging others?
But, we're not talking about judging, w're talking about justice...the only real form we earthbound humans have, when there is a mortal threat among us.

P.S. I don't think the original poster said anything about "the Book", I think you're just assuming that's where he or she got her philosophy; but even if he/she did get it from the Bible, that doesn't mean he/she believes EVERYthing in it.

Yeah, I wasn't exactly quoting from the bible. I just believe that if someone wrongfully and unaccountably deprives someone of their life, you have a right to take their's.
phoenix, one again chica you are right on the mark. Justice is exactly what I'm talkin about. It doesn't sit too well with me when there isn't any served.
Thank you 66, and I agree with you. I very much believe that there is no reason to allow murderers and violent criminals to share air with the rest of law-abiding, contributing society.
