My problem with my capricorn aunt

When I am around capricorns, I always feel like I am walking on egg shells. It is that they allow no error and mistake in their life, and everything should be done efficiently (which means their way).

Like this day, I didn't arrive at the bank on time, I got upbraided by my aunt for being careless and tactless. She said I should always put the company's prirorities first rahter than go and do the things I wanted to do. When I am around her, she will take any chance to crticize me any slight mistake I make, because she believed that mistakes should never be allowed to happen and avoided at all costs. I mean, seriously, wtf?

Do you people believe criticism can actually foster self-improvement. Because I don't think it can.
I think Capricorns are pretty self critical themselves, so they project faults on other people when other people can't meet their high standards.

I can see she is coming from that perspective about the trust and automany thing.

Nevertheless people learn when they make mistakes. If one never make mistakes, one can never learn from experience.
Mistakes should not be dealt with in critcism, but should be seen as part of the learning process.

I don't consider myself critical of others... I do believe in 'constructive' criticism, but that doesn't entail berating someone. I don't consider myself as coming across brash or the least bit harsh, I try to be very gentle as I rationalize with another individual in what I consider to be logical.

But, maybe us Caps come across differently than how we perceive ourselves. My ex (a Cancer) would always say "you think your so much better than everyone else" and "why do you always have to correct me?". Given the fact that I was always called 'stupid' (among other choice names) I made it a point to prove him wrong when he was. Guess who was usually wrong... I suppose ignorance is bliss! (ah, a pet peeve of mine, people who like to live in ignorance and not open their minds to new information or alternative ways of doing things - my way, of course).

My x cappy bff made me feel the same way. She always walked around like she was better than me and would be upset when no one else supported that notion. She always made it apoint to try and point out anything less than perfect she could find about me or anyway to prove she was better than me in some way. Instead of just being a friend and like a partner, she wasn't satisfied unless she was being admired and the center of attention. Well I got tired of her ego and my way is the right and only way so we are no longer friends. But its great you understand yourself and can identify with your faults.

I NEVER thought of myself 'better' than anyone nor did I ever consider myself coming off as such. I am way to critical of myself! The fact that I'm usually right, doesn't make me better, it makes me right! Typically, I don't speak up if I don't know what I'm talking about or I don't have good reason to do so. Of course, my Cancer ex bf considered my silence as a slight to him and that I must be considering him stupid. Major self-esteem issues! Damned if I do, damned if I don't... oh, that's why he's my ex!

Caps are not the pretentious creatures that others make us out to be.

Also, are Cancer's more apt to perceive us that way than other signs??

Seriously, I don't see anything wrong with what she said. You are probably upset because you don't like the way she said it to you. Its a common gift/flaw with us cap women -- once we have something to say, we don't hold back, we'll give it to you ten-fold, especially if you are a family member.

You see, we feel as if what a family member does can reflect on 'us'. Yes, most people feel that way but with us caps, its a bit worst. We have the attitude, "If I can do it, then whats wrong with you?" Do you know what I mean?

Recently, I told my gemini brother off concerning a situation with an Aqua girl. He didn't like it but whatever, he needed to hear it.

We come off that way, I've been told, "I thought you were a snob at first but I was wrong." *Shrugs* What can I say. A few capricorn chicks with screwed up charts make the rest of us look bad.

That's how Capricorns are. kind of bossy, motherly/fatherly.....just ignore her. To bad she's your aunt and you as an Aries can't tell her to go screw herself 😛

My sisters a Capricorn and she can be annoying and bossy at times. But I just tell her to f*ck off.

You have to be discplined and ambitious then she will leave you alone . Throwing money at her will also work .

Throwing money at her will NOT work! We are sensible and are not interested in others trying to 'buy' our adoration.

Red, your aunt is just trying to teach you life lessons and instill in you importance of commitment and dedication because she loves you and cares about you and wants you to be successful in life!

hahahaha, if we didn't say a word, then people would accuse us of not caring or giving a damn. Both my gemini brothers are like that. I give up and s say I don't care anymore what they do, then the one gemini tells me I don't care and then the other says, "Well, I'm in school now so I'm doing things the right way now, aren't I?"


LOL! We can't win for losing at all. Nope, poor us ^_^.

Oh and I will say that I am not bossy. I give my opinion only so many times and then afterwards I'm done. I can see the floor cracking underneath someone and I won't say a word ^_^. They didn't like my advice before, why should I give it now? Let them fall a couple of times and they will start to get it 😉

Thats so right. I've said that before. Nope, using money won't do it. You have to have ... other things too lol. I mean, money is nice but other things count. A man that just has money will annoy me. I know it sounds nuts but its the truth. It's like, if I take money from the guy, then I'd be expect to do 'something' in return for his 'generosity' or whatever. Nah, I'm too flighty ^_^. If I weren't this way, then yeah but I'd say yes one day and forget tomorrow.

As a cap, I don't openly critiscize unless people ask for it but like all others here have said, you probably just didn't like how it came out.

Hmmm, she sounds jaded .... unfortunately :/ This can happen to a cap women easily if she has far too many failed relationships.

hahaha, oh for crying-out-loud. Stop all the sulking already red ^_^. You know she told you the right thing 😉 Its not wrong with taking risks ... as long as you know how to 'land on your feet' if things don't work out. If you aunt doesn't think you know how to do this, then she's going to tell you. If you think you can do it, than prove it to her 🙂

Taking risks is fine. But you arent taking those that make sense. You're making stupid mistakes that could be easily avoided.

Taking risk is you to stop working for someone else and start your own business. THAT is taking a risk. Going late to work isn't taking risk.


My dad is aries and he pretty much admonishes me too when I dont take some things seriously.
