WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO! I've got a Valentine! (and wow- she's HOT!!!) She's a girl I used to have a crush on freshman year, and if you knew about my crushes you'd know they never quite go away unless that person did something BAAAD. She's so funny- she suggested going to the play the Drama club is going to see soon as a date! LOL! (I don't think we're "going out" though.) But anyway, I'm going to spoil her until Valentine's Day just for fun, since I've never had a girl to spoil before- or money to spoil a girl with, for that matter! And I told her I'd get the whole cast of the play to leave cards and warm fuzzy type notes in her backpack and notebooks and locker all the time too. She likes that kind of stuff, and since I'm the star of the play and she's the underappreciated, bored and frustrated stage manager I figure they'd do it, too. Okay, now my mind's going back for a vacation in the clouds again for a while =)

How are all y'all's Valentine's Day shaping up this year? Are there any of the kind of people here who don't like Valentine's Day b/c they never have a Valentine themself? Just curious. And I'm living proof that there is hope 😉

~!~ $ ~!!~ $ $ ~! $ !~ $ ~!~ the ecstatic daydreamer Josh ~!~ $ ~!!~ $ $ ~! $ !~ $ ~!~

P.S.: Hi Angel! How are ya? Are any of you Caps out there as weird as I obviously am- jumping at the chance to blow all your hard earned money on someone else who you probably don't have a chance in the world of dating? hehehehe O🙂

Josh...Josh...Josh...Josh....Josh,

You know it's ok to spend some money on a girl you like, but I will give you the same advise I give my own sons. Just becareful you don't get carried away. I know it's hard being a Cap you want to take care of everyone....make it a very special day for her, just don't go overboard. Both my sons went overboard at x-mas on their girlfriends....guess what.....they dumped them. My oldest was in a two year relastionship with his girlfriend and they are living together....She waited until after she got everything before she told him. So now, they have to finish out their lease before either one can move out. Not easy seeing each other everyday.

I'm not saying don't do anything.....just be careful how much.

Good luck and let me know what happens......

Wow, two things struck me like lightning right there in your message. First, the whole "Josh...Josh...Josh..." thing while shaking his head was practically patented by my buddy Dan whom I've known just about since birth (he's a whole month and a half older!) and secondly that I'm not being a very good Cappy in this instance, since we're all supposed to have the "cold fish" effect and that was a serious dosage of it that put out just about every last one of those fireworks going off in my Pisces rising brain! Thanks for the advice, it seems like there may be plenty to update about in a week's time, since I haven't even begun to spoil her and word has already come down through the grapevine that she's thinking of "going out" with me. *gasp✨ what now?!?

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Josh (who is in terror at the thought of going on an actual date) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Josh!

You will do fine on a date! I have no doubt! You have charm, wit, and charisma! But, don't let her take advantage of you!
Seriously, I even warn my daughter's boyfriends that if she gets her way...they will have no money left! She is just so cute and able to talk them into buying her whatever she wants...
I am not responsible for this part of her personality...it is totally unlike me! I think it may be her Gemini Rising??
She is very fun though!

What are you thinking of getting her?
Actually the warm fuzzy things mean a lot to a girl...it doesn't always have to cost a lot...

I am getting my taxes done on the 14th! Then to my guy's house for a special meal...but, I haven't gotten him anything yet...
He does love chocolate...

Call me old fashioned (or maybe just under the influence of my iron-willed Leo buddy Lindsey) but I've always looked at it as the guy's responsibility to do the purchasing on Valentine's Day. I've already begun, and I really think Sarah was joking when she said to get the cast to get her a card and flowers and what not, and she didn't say anything about me personally getting her flowers. So far I've gotten her a chocolate rose, the funniest little stuffed animal (it's a red teddy bear with horns and a pitchfork and a heart that says "HOT STUFF!") and I saw the best flowers, which I'm going to get tomorrow. I'm gonna write some poems and letters and that's all in addition to having the cast make her a card and get her flowers. Of course, I've got a limit on the amount of money I'm going to spend this week, and I totally realise she has the ability to either not ask me out or to decline my offer. But heck, that could possibly be even better than if she does want to go out with me- first of all since I'd be terrified and lost if a relationship actually got further than the question and the "yes" and secondly I've got this whole helpless, innocent, naive look to keep up. What would happen if everyone saw what a cool, calculating kid I really am— 😉

You should get something for your man, though, Star. And you should also have a Happy Valentine's Day, too. Or else...well, or else you'll have a bad one. And that's just no fun!

Now, where is that Dave and his guitar— He was supposed to be here an hour ago! Us infernal musicians and our always having to be "fashionably late"! Bah, humbug! =P

Hey Josh!

You are right! I should get my man a present for Valentine's Day! I think he really liked his birthday present, which I gave to him a week and a day early...not only because I have to work on his birthday...but, because I couldn't wait any longer!!
(Keep this in mind! No matter what...it is all about the woman and keeping her happy!! LOL!)

So, you are a drummer?
Cool! So, is my guy! I will tell you what I told him...I, personally think that the drummer is the most important person in the band as they are the time keeper...if the timing is off the whole song is ruined...
True, being a rhythm guitarist takes a lot of talent...but, so does being an excellent drummer!

Take Care!

Actually I'm not really any one thing. I know what I want my one strong suit to be, but I'm not really true to the Capricorn ethic yet...

As my Dad says, I dabble in lots of things, but if I want improvement that I can visibly see I need to pick just one thing and stick with it faithfully. For now, though, I'm happy with trying a lot of things and just being with friends while I do them. I've got my whole life to become great at karate.

My current list of hobbies and talents is:
martial arts, writing, running, weightlifting, Boy Scouting, skiing, drumming, and acting.

By the beginning of the next school year- my senior year! yeah!!- I'll be an Eagle Scout, which will be a HUGE relief and I'll be able to focus more on karate. After highschool I'm seriously considering the Army or the Marines, since Eagles start off a rank and a pay grade above everyone else.

There, now you all know everything about me. I've got nothing more to say, I can listen to you all now! Hooray!

Hi!

Nothing more to say!! Why, you didn't even do any creative patterns!

Surely, there will be more to say!

I thought you had a pretty good list!

I am into lifting weights, yoga, writing, (I have even had a poem published!), drawing/painting, making my own aromatherapy scents, astrology, numerology, reflexology, soap making, candle making, feng shui, thinking about aerobics!, angels, home schooling, and so much more! So, much to do and so little time! LOL! I took a judo class when I was in high school and later took Tae Kwan Do (not sure, I spelled it correctly...) with my daughter...but, we did not continue to pursue it...

I am just pointing out that you may always have a hand in many pots and that is OK too...

As far as Eagle Scout....wow! Congratulations! I went to my nephew's ceremony at the end...it was great!

Well, you have a great day!

Okay, now it's time to pour on the cynicism. Well, maybe later, since that comes best after the fact. But, while I still have a Valentine, it's just that. I've managed to get my hopes up again only to have them explode like that poor soda can at lunch! (which I made up, but I think it's an awesome similie anyway and I'm just being weird) I found out Sarah already has a bf- thankfully before tomorrow, when I would have made a quite a scene.

Anyway, time for that completely unfair, emotionally backed blanket statement that's always due at a time like this: Girls are evil!!! I don't want anything to do with anything female ever again! *runs off crying until a girl walks by* "*sniffle* Hey....check her out!"

But, I think it IS time for a break from girls, though...

Josh you know what she is not even worthy of you...I'm curious how your grades are in school you seem very intelligent...boo on her and don't even worry valentines day is over-rated and commercialized...and in regards to being a loner as previously mentioned..the ne thing I regret about high school was not introducing myself to a lot of cool people who were not popular..who probably would still have been friends with now, unlike the popular crowd then....I keep to myself alot have my own apartment and I love it...however..it is important to able to vent with real friends and I have discovered that a lot of people play a part and arent true to you after all so be careful in who you trust and never...let's your feelings get the best of you. love TLC
