What is the meaning of life?

Recently I have heard alot of opinions about different things. What is your opinion on this topic?

The "meaning of life" to me is what I choose for it to be, what I create it to be. Personally, what works for me is to not judge anyone and to love everyone. This is my only time here on this planet as I am now and I am making it a very happy and wonderful trip.

*expect the unexpected
*go with the flow
* always come from a place of love
* take nothing personally

I believe, that the meaning is different to each person, everyone has something in there life they believe in. It's the core of themselves it could be an adage(sp) or a ideal.

I've known this for a long time, I don't remember the first time I heard it or thought of it but I remember it.

Everything always works out, just not always the way you want.

Life is one disappointment after another.
Life is all about growing within a dysfuncional family, moving on and having kids anyway, thus repeating the cycle, getting older, having more problems and then dying.
Life is having to deal with financial and social problems and setbacks that are mostly not of your own making.
Life is the only thing you have to wake up to every single day and you cannot go around this.
Nothing will change this fact, and no matter how you try to live your life, it is always surprising you with events that you would rather not deal with at any certain time.
Life is saturn being in your 1st house, opposing squaring your sun, too many times during your life-time.
Short happy moment will not make up for the misery that awaits thereafter, just around the corner.
And who said cappies are pathetic, depressed souls? I wonder

Okay guys...no need to be depressed. All situations become what we "think" of them to be. Conflicts are conflicts if you choose for them to be...OR you can see them as "adventures", "challenges" growth opportunities. This does make it and life more fun.


Gwen, you are correct there is no escaping life situations however, you can change your thougts and You WILL change your world.

We all have the power to create our world...depression is now gone. 🙂

I have three dueling thoughts on the meaning of life.

It is either:

(A) Love.

OR

(B) To search for the meaning of life.

OR

(C) To learn.

Life has no meaning. It's just a bunch of distatched mismatched occurances happening in sequential order.

Why kill yourself? There's no point in that.

No James, you do not need to 'kill' yourself because you will eventually die anyway, as we all know. Killing yourself may make you miserable in this life and on the 'other' side, and maybe you will have to come back and repeat this 'misery' all over again. Just bear it anywhich way you can, and try to see the 'light' at the end of the tunnel, in this life, and thereafter.

I am not losing sleep over it.

This reminds me of a story and its true. We had a chap who came into the pub he was a true believer in the after life. He belonged to the church down the road. Shaboom had been in hospital for surgery. This chap was very interested in anything that pointed to the afterlife. So shaboom was talking about his operation he said he was out but he saw a light at the end of the tunnel. So the chap got very excited and started questioning shaboom. Shaboom told him he went down the tunnel,the chap says what happen ? shaboom says I got to the end of the tunnel and the chap with a rag on his head told me to get out of the holly cow line and in the holly goat line. He told us this pissed him off so he came back.
