Insight on a Pisces guy

Hello everyone 🙂First of all, I'm new here.
I like astrology but I'm still only a dilettante in this field,that's why I would greatly appreciate a second opinion on this frustratingly ambiguous Pisces guy.

I have to add I'm not sure if the ascendant is actually aquarius but it was the only one I could think of considering his overall appearance.He looks very much like a blend between Matt damon and the twins Max and charlie carver who were part of the cast of teen wolf,they are look alikes almost,except that he is 6 feet tall and has darker features, dark hair, dark brown eyes.
First time I met him I thought "gemini!" ,gave me this airy impression, but nope haha, would of never guessed he was a pisces honestly,when he is in his talkative mood, he is very opinionated, cynical and even a bit argumentative.We bumped heads a couple of times and it ended in silence on both parts or leaving both of us feeling guilty but not doing anything about it, our interactions have always seemed more like power struggles or just very competitive and I don't get why cause there's hardly any fire in his chart, I have more fire planets than him and I was always the more easygoing,patient,considerate one, why would the roles be switched like that?His water planets don't seem to have an expression in his behavior and general outlook on life, I don't know.What's your insight?

Hi there Denver34 🙂 thanks for the insight,I don't know why I've always thought of water planet clusters and especially water moons as being more emotional, empathetic ,considerate, tolerant you know..he has a grand trine.I thought they tend to embrace new people, experiences and perspectives with much more ease.
With pisces suns I could never really connect with for some reason despite my pisces moon, the ones that I have met throughout my life were few and far between.
I've never met a cancer moon before this guy so I guess when I looked at his chart and read about the qualities that were associated with this placement : nurturing, empathetic, in touch with his emotions I thought : what could of happened to this guy that put such a dark shadow on those qualities cause they were not at all obvious to me and it was too bad cause he sometimes gave the impression that he had something going on deep inside but most of the times he was just spiteful.

It's funny cause if we are to be taken separately, we have striking similarities in our communication style s, but together it just doesn't seem to work, I wish it did only because many times I had this feeling that we both have the potential to build something amazing together but there's already this annoying wall between us that hinders the possibility.I don't know how to approach the problem either.Shouldn't our trine moon signs create enough ease and reduce the friction between the difficult aspects and help us connect harmoniously? How can I help this?

I never thought of it like that.Seems to make sense I guess..thank you for taking the time to share this with me, if it is of interest ,here's the overall flow of our interactions: He approached me first but came on too strong and made me feel uneasy so I was very brash to him in our first interaction even though I was flattered by his boldness but I didn't see it coming so I went all defensive.Not to say I really regretted it because he stopped trying to talk to me after that and because I thought he liked me too in the first place, my aries venus went in "chase mode" haha, I didn't want him to give up thaat easy, so for the next couple of weeks I teased him aries style , been playful,gave cute compliments, and he did seem to respond to it but here's the tricky part, my style of flirting was more on the verbal side while his was more on the physical, he was always very bold and touchy and everytime I felt he got too close I turned him down and I made it clear that I only allow that to happen in a relationship, and that I didn't want to play games. "Emotional security over immediate gratification"that was my mantra, I blame it on my pisces moon 😄 or maybe my mars which is in cancer.I mean, I think I came off as a contradiction to him, on one hand I was very bold,energetic and assertive and on the other hand, the minute he turned that around on me I became very protective and cautious with my feelings.There was chemistry involved that's for sure, but not in the way we communicated to one another, it was funny actually cause everytime we were around other people we would get into these stimulating, energetic banters and we would argue back and forth over anything under the sun but when we were just the two of us we could barely say a word to each other, like it was this clumsiness,lack of synchronization and awkward silences going on between us, it's like we didn't know how to talk to each other in a way that was not making any of us feel uncomfortable.

In the couple of moments when we did manage to talk I was the inquisitive one,"the interviewer" and I tended to ask really blunt personal questions because I'm not into small talk and I like to get things to run faster as I'm a bit impatient, while he was the offensively reactive one,always second guessing what I was saying, finding faults in my way of expressing things, and it all turned into a vicious cycle because I didn't back down either as soon as I felt like he was being disrespectful to my views.After episodes like this we both pulled off ignoring acts, depending on who was the one affected and who was the clueless, sometimes only I ignored him, sometimes he did, until we both kind of synchronized and it became a mutual act.I've never before met a person that would send my ego in such extreme directions, from humble to aggressively condescending in literally minutes.The only reason I'm holding on to it is the good moments, the positive, emotionally intense ones, I'm tired of the aggressive energy, I wish we could just get along.. but maybe it's not meant to be.Time will tell. 🙂 Thank you once again.
